Egads! My old Stratics account seems to have gone the way of the dodos. And to that I say, WTF?
But I guess I haven't really used it much lately... about as much as I've played UO.
*sigh*
Anyway, I need to shut down one of my two accounts. I've been keeping them open for way too long, given that I don't play anymore. I know EA will likely store my characters and whatever stuff I have in the banks, but obviously the houses would go away once I stop paying.
Well... I don't really want Sotheby's to go away, although it's not doing anyone any good I suppose, just taking up space. And I'm not really interested in handing it over to anyone, unless it were one of the folks who used to help out there (if any of you are left, and you know who are). I made that mistake with the Oasis fighting pits, and I feel pretty rotten about that.
So two accounts - that means if I leave one open I can leave Sotheby's as it was on the night of the last auction these two and a half years ago. But it also means my other place has to go.
I have an old shop called "The Arsenal of Freedom" on Moonglow, Felucca, directly between the moongate and the city's southern gate, at the T in the road. I guess it's going to have to go away.
Unless, that is, someone else wants it or has a use for it. I see that some guild has decorated their own nigh identical building to match mine, except on the Trammel side (perhaps to confuse careless victims who stumble out of the Felucca side gate?). Maybe they want it.
If nobody wants to pay for it, someone can have it for free. If nobody has an account with a house slot available, I'm afraid the old building will sadly crumble to dust some time in the not-too-distant future.
*sigh*
On the other hand, if more than one or two folks want it, maybe I'll auction it off at Sotheby's. That would be... poignant for me.
*sigh*
Why do I keep sighing? I don't even play anymore. But man, do I have a lot of memories. Eight years is a long time....
Anyway if someone is interested, post here or PM me. I don't have ICQ on this machine, but I can get it if need be. (Do people even still use ICQ?)
*sigh*
The place is improperly placed, it's that old. Once it's gone, ain't nobody putting another house there in its stead.
