Well I'm posting here because I've ran out of options.

The Collector's Quest on Legends Shard has been broken since OCTOBER! Thomas O'Neerlan the Toymaker is gone from Trinsic tinker's guild. Both my sister and I have paged GMs. We got a canned message to send in a bug report. We sent bug reports in....IN OCTOBER! It's still broken.

Then Friday night Sis and I were what we call "Death Mining". "Death Mining" is mining with a Gargoyle's Pickaxe near our Fel Castle. We got attacked by a Red. Okay no big thing I held him off while Sis's miner hauled pixels to the castle. Then I also hauled pixels to the castle. Sis switch chars to her Tamer, summoned G-Draggy and was gonna teach Mr. Red-Dude-With-Attitude some manners. I joined her. He attacked me first, sis target draggy on Red guy. Red Guy lures Draggy around till he sticks him on a private house. Then he PKs Sis, and I'm still beatin on this guy. He Pks me, too.

I get rezzed by roaming Healer NPC, and go inside castle. Sis can not enter castle and I could not rez her. WHY? She's isn't faction or anything so I should have been able to rez her. I understand the flagging system may have something to do with her not being able to enter castle. It gets worse...
After we got rezzed I stand in center of inside castle where I THOUGHT I was safe. Red dude chain casts 6-8 spells THROUGH THE WALLS and kills me and my mount. After sis is able to enter castle same thing happens to her.
He kills us THREE times inside our on castle. He is even able to cast and hit sis up on top of castle. I got nail through walls in courtyard, sis got nailed through walls in parapet. I got nailed in downstairs hall through the walls.
In the parapet and halls he used feilds our WHOLE hall and parapet was filled with fields. you couldn't escape them. This guy wouldn't leave. We paged a GM, got a canned message and no help so we gave up and logged out. I'm sorry but isn't casting THROUGH walls a CHEAT??? I do not use any cheats and i have NEVER been able to cast through a house wall.

I wrote Mr. Draconi a private message last night hoping for some help. Apparently I do not merit a response as he's NEVER even read my private message.

I'm sorry but EAMythic customer service is atrocious! In this economic climate ever customer should be treated as gold. I work as bookkeeper for a battery supply. My boss's policy is "The Customer is Always Right" and "A Happy Customer is a return sale and will bring more customers". Is EA so big and making so much money they can afford to **** off as many customers as they want? How do they expect to make money if they treat their customers like fecal material??? I don't understand. Sis and I are considering take our 51.96 a month somewhere else. 51.96 a month equals to 623.52 a year that apparently EA does seem to need.

I'm hoping for some help here from a Dev team member otherwise come Monday our accounts are closed. Why do you have to practically fly to Virginia to get customer service?

Sorry I haven't got any good advice regarding the deaths at the castle. Six of my houses are in Fel and all but one are custom plots with double walls to make it more difficult for someone to cast fields or send nature's furies into the house. The one keep that I own (no castles) is in Fel on Origin and I placed it against my better judgment and only because there was so much space available and I wanted the experience of owning one. I fully expect some day someone will decide to demonstrate for me just how poorly constructed and insecure it is!

Can I have your bosses name and phone number so that I can ask him/her to forward your contact information to customers so that when they have a problem then can call/email/IM you on your day off? You obviously noticed that this is Sunday since you said you were closing your accounts tomorrow (Monday) and expect Draconi to sit around on his day off watching the forum and checking his PM's instead of living his life and taking care of personal things.

I have had people throw EV's into my castle there are a few spots they can throw them in. I would recommend placing something in those spots. I don't because I like to throw EVs over the wall to kill annoying sewer rats that never stop squeaking which those are the same spots you can throw down the EV's.

I have not been killed by a red in my castle even on my mule charters I am able to avoid their attacks. But those attacks are very rare.

BTW, if you would stop and think there are some job that even when you are off the clock you are still at that job. Ever heard of Police Officers? Firefighters? Paramedics? Even off duty they often stil have to do their job.

Someone might want to advise Draconi then to talk with his boss and make sure he was getting paid for reading the boards on what was most likely one of his days off since obviously if a Dev is reading Stratics, then they must be working no matter the day or the time that they are shown as being on here. Unless you can actually prove that he was in the office late last night working, then your argument that he was working while reading the boards doesn't really hold water.

Furthermore, I'm making a giant leap in assumption in believing that there is some possible way you can actually explain the connection between being a cop/fire fighter/paramedic who are all three in the business of saving someones life to being a game programmer. Someone killing you and your sister in game doesn't even compare to someone getting killed in RL so your examples are really poor. Your analogy skills are lacking, at best. And please get some conviction and fortitude if your going to continue make threats about closing your accounts if the Dev's don't rush in to help you every time you post on here. I have now read your private message - and would like to mention a few things.

First, I'm very concerned with the problem you had in the castle; I believe it's a known issue, but cannot be resolved without a publish. I'm sorry that you've had a poor experience with customer service as well - I've been on that side myself, and it's never feels good to not get aid when you feel aid is warranted.

Secondly, I want to reiterate to the community that while I keep my PM box on Stratics open, it is not a guaranteed method of contact. Per our guidelines, I do not privately communicate in PMs with the playerbase concerning UO. Communication from me about UO is written in public, visible places. I will have no choice but to close the PM box if its expected that I'll read and respond to each message; just because it's not possible, and it would be inappropriate to mislead the community.

I'm committed to communicating with the community because I believe UO's community is what makes UO great, but it's unfortunate when my options dwindle.

The UO Herald has a feedback form that sends emails directly to the community representative for UO. They process the emails and send them out to the proper members of the team who need to see the messages. Since this is an obvious bug, Mesanna would be one of the first to see it, along with the lead designers and customer service.

P.S. Seriously, I can't stand the bugs with the castle courtyards, it's just the way they originally built the multis for them. I can't promise anything atm (we're already full up on work for Pub58, SA, etc), but it's at least on the list.

Well my sister's 1st grade math teacher said she didn't think my sister would ever be able to do any high level mathmatics. Well she's working on her B.S. E.E. I'm happy to say she's made As and Bs in Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III and Differential Equations so I think its safe to say that teachers can be wrong.

As fore misspelling Bill Gates and Steve Jobs both have admitted to being lost without spell checker. Heck prolific writer Stephen King admits his first drafts are extremely rough because he doesn't concern himself with spelling and grammer until he's completed was he's doing at that moment. He then goes back and corrects the mistakes. I'm sure even President Elect Obama has misspelled a word or two in his time.

I have now read your private message - and would like to mention a few things.

First, I'm very concerned with the problem you had in the castle; I believe it's a known issue, but cannot be resolved without a publish. I'm sorry that you've had a poor experience with customer service as well - I've been on that side myself, and it's never feels good to not get aid when you feel aid is warranted.

Secondly, I want to reiterate to the community that while I keep my PM box on Stratics open, it is not a guaranteed method of contact. Per our guidelines, I do not privately communicate in PMs with the playerbase concerning UO. Communication from me about UO is written in public, visible places. I will have no choice but to close the PM box if its expected that I'll read and respond to each message; just because it's not possible, and it would be inappropriate to mislead the community.

I'm committed to communicating with the community because I believe UO's community is what makes UO great, but it's unfortunate when my options dwindle.

The UO Herald has a feedback form that sends emails directly to the community representative for UO. They process the emails and send them out to the proper members of the team who need to see the messages. Since this is an obvious bug, Mesanna would be one of the first to see it, along with the lead designers and customer service.

P.S. Seriously, I can't stand the bugs with the castle courtyards, it's just the way they originally built the multis for them. I can't promise anything atm (we're already full up on work for Pub58, SA, etc), but it's at least on the list.

I got an answer for the OTHER question asked.

Well I'm posting here because I've ran out of options.

The Collector's Quest on Legends Shard has been broken since OCTOBER! Thomas O'Neerlan the Toymaker is gone from Trinsic tinker's guild. Both my sister and I have paged GMs. We got a canned message to send in a bug report. We sent bug reports in....IN OCTOBER! It's still broken.

It's the town invasions. The toymaker can be made Hatred, Cowardice or Falsehood, and run (away from something or chasing someone) very far from his original abode, and unlite the town NPCs, it appears that he doesn't have a "bounce back to start point" code for when he respawns (as he is supposed to be a stationary NPC under normal circumstances, and shouldn't have NEEDED it). This issue might be present for any of the normally immobile NPCs, if they were accidentally made vulnerable to the shadowlord change.

He can theoretically be blocks from his original position (I saw one town NPC, a Naturalist, PAST SPIRITUALITY SHRINE by the river, on Lake Austin). Luckily, on my shard, he's just a block or so away.

At any rate you didn't read my post very closely to understand what I was saying. I don't particularly care about that, I don't think you are the kind to go back and re-read. I'll say something in a similar vein though: it is outside the scope of draconi's job to fix your customer service related issues. For example, if you went to wendy's and approached the janitor and asked them for a burger they would not be able to help you, because it isn't their job. Every minute you waste of draconi's time with him having to politely tell you that he has forwarded your issue and has to explain that he cannot respond to PMs is a minute less where he is doing something that is actually useful for the rest of us.

So go through the proper channels, which are calling the Mythic CS people, bug reporting the issues you find, and paging a GM for ingame issues. Those are the routes you need to take, not PMing a dev like they are your personal UO servant to fix any and all problems that you have. If everyone who had a problem is trying to message a dev about it, and are demanding dev attention they would never have any time to do anything else like, oh, add new content to the game or work on fixing bugs that have been reported.

I reopened my account after the issues at that time were resolved LIKE MANY OTHER BOARD members. As for the boycott, I did post this on another forum and talked to several people in AIM from my shard. I was advised that the only way that this would ever be seen was to post it here because the Devs only read and post here.

Isn't it nice to know that UO Stratics has a choke hold on UO.


BTW to everyone that thinks otherwise, we went throught the proper channels if you'd bothered to READ the original post. We each sent bugs reports on the missing NPC in OCTOBER. We were told by other players if you send more than one bug report about the samething from the same email address it will be IGNORED! As for emailing customer service my experience is they do not anwser the emails so I don't waste the time to write them.

As for the attacking through the Castle we both paged a GM and it took 2 hrs to get a canned response, fat lot of good that does when your "Toons" are trapped inside castle. Let me recap FIRST Sis couldn't enter the castle then when she could she was pked through the walls as was I. I used the "Help I'm stuck" to go to cove and rezzed. Sis could NOT use hers at all. When she click on help nothing happened. I returned and tried to rez her. I kept getting "you can't perform benefical acts on this characters." She is NOT factions, our guids are not warring, and neither chars are red. During all of this the bozo is circling our castle!! He PK me a second time through wall while standing in the CENTER of castle. I snuck out to a near by roaming healer. I got back to the castle and was in the bottom hallway trying to get my mount out of the 1001 fire, poison, paralyze, and energy fields he was castle all thorugh our walls into the halls. I was killed when 1st I got poisoned by one of the fields and then he cast Energy bolt through walls at me. He then pked sis first on the castle wall and then on the Castle roof. I guess ya'll call this acceptable game play, I don't.

In all of the responses, not one single person said you should just take less than optimal game play, live with it, do not complain, page, ask for help, go through proper channels, etc... Not one person.
