Create a PVP shard.

Make a shard similar to Siege, but with insurance. Insurance is not the devil people.
PVP everywhere, Tokuno event ongoing, Doom PVP.
Not a consolidation of shards, but 1 shard for those that love to PVP without losing everything.

Siege sucks, that's why no one plays there. ROT is also a reason.

Does Uhall think people would play there?
Does Uhall think that this would be a great place to have non-ending PVP?

ROT is actually pretty cool. It's like GGS, only it works.

I used to have fun for the short time I played on SP, then all my friends there quit.

SP is a great shard if you have friends. If you don't, it sucks.

Meh. I don't think so. Siege is the PvP shard as it stands. It would seem kind of ridiculous to have another Siege shard except with insurance and different skill gain system. Let's just get EA to make a better gain system on Siege.

We really don't need anymore shards right now anyways.

If it were created, I might try it. But probably not move there. I would rather play Siege. If I were going to an all fel-ruleset shard, I'd rather go to one with no insurance.

Yeah...you obviously have not tried Siege then, and playing for a week and not liking it is not trying by the way. With the close community, ~NO DUPES~ , these reasons to me are enough for most people to play the shard. Sure there are things that make it tougher, for example ROT, but with its recent tweak its much more bearable. Very easy to gm/120 your skills now. Work your skills while you play your homeshard. Having no insurance is the great thing about Siege. Whats the point of killing someone if you cant loot their ass? If you really give Siege a chance you'll find yourself transfering within a couple months...thats what i did. Played Chesepeake since 99 and switched to siege in 2004, stoped playing while i joined the military and started back up again in 07. But rather than bash things, you should give them a try first. good luck with whatever you choose.

Done it. Played over a year, GM'd a few skills, stole lots of things.
Killed lots of noobs.
It just got old logging in and not finding anyone ANYWHERE about 20 times a day. Sorry to burst your assumption bubble.
Siege is as dead as it gets. If you want full loot and real fun, play a free shard.
And if your idea of a "close community" is a dozen pvp'ers arguing on the Siege forums multiple times a day, hey, whatever floats your boat.

I dont' think a new shard is needed...... I think it would be cool to have a "battle gate"..... one where if you step through the gate you are teleported to a cell inside which you find all the "magic" does not function.... you may bank away all your arties for they are not allowed and neither is insurance..... and enter a new realm where old school Fel applies...... back to basics, where you can steal to your hearts content, murderers suffer stat loss, you can put a bounty on their heads, cut them up, make jerky, where you have to carry regs as a mage, there is no 100% lrc suit, no crimmy, no insurance straight up old school weapons of Vanquishing, power, and all..... once you enter your teleported to a hidden location. Return if you must..... if your lucky you might carry away special "ingredients" for new things on your homeland....

This land would be accessible to everyone on all shards.... they all go to the same land.... and all return to their own world. One massive land with dungeons, monsters, and spawns.... and if your lucky enough to get something and get back with it to your homeworld you'll have some special title.... but this land is accessible from Fel as well as from Tram.... I think it would be fun to have one big place where anyone can travel, Fel, Tram, Seige or Mugen..... no difference.... old school rules and weapons, barbed armor isn't a factor..... and the place would have only one town.... anyway that was a thought of mine.

its a good idea and would get people there because all the best guilds would want to go there because if they own the server they "win uo"

I vote yes, if people vote no there stupid because they dont have to go!!

think of it!! everyone from different countries will be playing it, so there will always be people online to fight instead of you having to wait for your server prime time to pvp against a decent amount of people

If it is no insurance that less players play Siege, then normal shards Felucca should be filled with players. Guess they are not so why would a Siege with item insurance become a success?

Can't you do that on normal shards with guildwars?
Why do you think you will lose everything everytime you die on Siege?
Items are much easier to get now, so even if you want to be a wandering treasure chest, it's not that hard to replace the items if you have friends/guildmembers who like crafting or farming.

Wierd, I do find alot of players on Siege and my guild fight each night.

This Uhaller already found the best shard in UO, will never ever again play normal shards or shards with item insurance. 11 years without Item Insurance and still playing and having fun.

1. The lag would be horrible for anybody not in that region.

2. The skill gain system on Siege does not suck, it's way better than the GGS system.

3. If you want to PvP with insurance, there are these lands called Fel located on every shard.

4. Siege and UO in general are not under-populated due to the lack of an all PvP w/insurance shard.
