BOD BOOK BOOKCASE

Just an idea as we have bod books to reduce the amount of space bods take up and some of us are still running out of room even using vendors to store them.

Any chance we could get a bod book case that say hold 10 books but only counts as 1? pretty please

Maybe 10 is to high as that would hold what 6000 bods for only 120 lock downs but you get the idea, could even be a craftable or new bod reward.

You're kidding right? They won't even let us buy the bookcases that Japan got 2 months ago and promised to be available to us 30 days after that and you want them to give us more bookcases? You are an eternal optimist aren't you?

I do turn them back in and get the same amount back.. I fill all upto CBDs and BRKs and keep them to fill the large as there the only 2 worth getting, still i never loose many maybe 10 in every 100 get thrown (large cloth) or used to fill the large.

Have over 5k of bods now most sorted and ready to set up vendors to store them just as i was reading a post about the new book case so thought WOW what a good idea

er, nope. 1001 if you grabbed one before turnin/get new cycles. However, I found it real easy to do turn-in, get new, review and decide to keep or not.

I ended up basically only getting 60% new bods ... thus shaving down the BOD inventory fairly well. I do not take every offered BOD anymore.

I take every offered BOD to fill it if its not a "keeper" and hand in for another. Definatly since the recycle was brought in alot more bods dont get thrown away to decay or taken by others to skill gain off.

Still would be cool to not have to set up a vendor and lag everyones screen when they run past your house as you have 40 vendors all with "BODS not for sale" A book case would be cleaner and less hastle.

On another not what ever did happen to it being illegal to store BODS on vendors? I saw a few get deleted years back for this.

Knowing UO, BOD bookcases will only be available to 10 year veteran tamers who turn in 10,000 great harts at the community collection location on the bottom of a Felucca location in the Stygian Abyss.

Can't ever see it happening, nor does it need to. If your books are taking too much space, toss some of them.

Ok we didnt get our 11th ani stuff "anyone think outside the box as to why EA America has NEVER coppied EA Asia?"

They can give us "similar" as in we get diff coloured slimes and hitching posts we have to make and are replics..... And possibly in 30 days you'll get them (opens bracket for leagal proceddings to take place like it did before with councilors and EMs.. close bracket)

DO you not think if it was possible to give the west what the east give them selves The devs wouldn't do it.....? REALLY HONESTLY would they say no to there own cos they had a CHOICE??

Why would i toss 5000 BODs that i can use to fill BRK's and CBDs????? Mad if you do that but hey if you do opens more market space for me. And yes since the recycle BODs came in there really will be what 7 toons each colecting 24 bods a day so thats 168 bods per server think theres 20 kinda sooooo. 3360 BODs a day being collectet per account, some people still play and PAY FOR and have upto 5 so thats again 16800 roughly BODs being collected a day................ and we dont need BOD Bookcases? and in a few years as its been a few since the recycle yeah??

It never was illegal to store them on vendors. If any got deleted, it was by a rogue Game Master.

The ORIGINAL idea the Devs had was to let people put unpriced BODs in books, to encourage trading (through character interaction). Some people even do it this way. The long-term storage thing, while an unintended consequence, was never actually illegal, and the Devs have stated so more than once (back before the issue that resulted in our changing forum software).

I really wish I understood what you were trying to say, then I could respond more appropriately.

However, whatever the reason they didn't do what they said they would, which was make available to us 30 days AFTER Japan got the items, they still could have given us some info. Instead they waited 30 MORE days and MANY more posts imploring them to give us some information to actually tell us anything, which btw wasn't really any info at all that they gave us except to WAIT yet some more.

I sure hope my thoughts came across better than I think they did.

I think your idea is interesting, Thunderz. But, I'd be really mad if something else was done about bods before gardeners get a way to store seeds or stackable plants. *sigh*. It's only been 6-7? years now since plants came along and no solution.

And haven't we been asking for jewelry boxes for a while too? However, I will admit that possibly jewelry boxes might be a bit harder than seed containers, but they would be awesome!

At least for now we do have BOD books. Nothing for seeds, or plants or jewelry.

And I just have to add no 11th anniversary items either.

I have complained quite a bit about the lack of info from anyone at EA on the 11th anniversary items. It frustrates me to be told something, even given a time frame and then it passes WITHOUT any word, just ignored. However, I do want to take this time to say that I truly appreciate all the Devs do to improve UO. I think they work very hard and are terribly underappreciated. So Devs don't take my complaints in this limited area to mean anything other than I am unhappy with this one aspect. I think you all deserve a big

First BODs, then BOD Books. Now you want a BOD Book Shelf? What's next? A BOD Library to store your shelves in? (note: I see Crysta made the same type of comment. )

This is just too much. There are too many other items that need help (jewelry, seeds, etc.). I'm heavy into BODs, but I never run out of space.

Try these things:

1) Throw away the ones you will never fill.
2) Fill the ones you need. Add them to the LBODs even if you can't complete the LBOD.
3) Store you BOD books on vendors. Make sure to press the Esc key when prompted for the price. I know you don't like it, but it works.

Even if the rep doesn't have an answer or a popular one, say something. Whether it's trivial like choco ingredients not stacking (3? mos now, no answer) or balance issues, bugs, just communicate. Interact with us.

When I was a secretary I had to tell people bad news. They didn't always like hearing it, but they appreciated we were upfront with them. We were working for them afterall and they were spending their money on the project. Anyone who has ever worked CS of some form should be able to relate to that.

Exactly! Communication is the real issue. We may not always like the answers and I definitely don't like feeling like the step-child next to Japan, but I will deal with it if they just COMMUNICATE with us and not ignore us.
