Back after 1 year : what is new ?

I was away for a little over 1 year and recently I thought to come back check how UO was after all this months.

What changes am I to expect in game play, skills, new stuff, whatever ?

Eh, there's been about a year's worth of changes

More stories have been sewn; UO's depth has grown; more good and bad stuff has been known.
Stygian Abyss looks to be arriving pretty soon (~ maybe peek at uo.com).

How's the player base? Stable ? Less players around ? More players ?

I play Catskills so am interested mostly on that shard.

Honestly things sometimes seem to go fast and sometimes slow....So I have no idea what to tell you as far as what's new.

The Warriors of Destiny storyline is definitely moving faster than it was.

I'm definitely seeing a lot more new and returning players in the Players Corner and Craftsman forums, which is a good sign.
