Outrageous! Foul Treason!

The nobles of our land have deemed it their place to appoint this usurper, Casca, to the throne! He is not of royal blood. He is not even human!

My father was the Warden of Skara, and was closer to the line of ascendancy than this elven usurper. My young sister, Abigail LeFay was the ward of Lord British, and the throne was rightfully to pass to her. Now this Elf has assumed control of our land.

I will not stand for this.

This usurper must die!

Citizens of Sosaria, HEAR ME, do not be fooled by this act of treason!

Casca is false...his rule is not valid!

There is only one true ruler of Britannia, and all of Sosaria...and since he is no where to be found, the time has come.

The daughter of Greyson LeFay, whether it is by mandate...my sister Abigail, or by force...myself...shall assume the throne!

Join me. This treason cannot stand!

Where was Abigail, when this land needed her?
Now that one has stepped up to take the throne, you cry treason, and plot treasonous rebellion?

Casca has his flaws, but I'll give him a chance;)

The Council of Mages faction, encased primarily within the ruling body of the Magincia Parliament and is the only legitimate authority in the land. Not some hokey group of lesser nobles and certainly not a filthy little elf. The Council of Mages will continue to exercise full authority in the realm.

Abigail was the next in line.

Lord Brittish was childless, and shortly before his only known death, he took my sister Abigail into his house, and made her his ward.

He got lots of political mileage from his appearances with her, but it would seem that his promise was false, as is this new "king".

Abigail was sent to study music at the Conservatory...at the request of Lord Brittish. She remained there until she was a young adult. Since that time, she has honed her skills, and has been a champion for the Virtues that Lord Brittish stood for.

She has fought in every invasion by outside forces, and remains a Glorious symbol of Virtue in a very corrupt land.

I, myself, have been touched by the taint of this world...and the next. But she remains pure.

If the Ruling Council will not concede to Abigail, then they will fall to me.

This I swear on the honor of my fallen father, the Warden of Skara.

The Council of Mages will support me, of this I have no doubt.

Our guild's Archanist, Sheol, is an emmissary to the Council of Mages...and has influence with them.

What do you know of it, newcomer?

Did you know Lord British? Did your father serve with Lord Cromwell?

What is your ancestry? Are you a descendant of the line? Or just another paper noble with lots of gold in your bank?

*The elderly, grey bearded old wizard chuckles. He smiles warmly, removing his meerschaum pipe from the corner of his mouth; regarding this Lady Morgana with curiosity*

Ah, 'tis yet another claimant to the Britannian Crown? *Chuckles* I fear that I must ask thee; were thy cousin, the noble Lady Abigail, the true and rightful successor to our most noble and virtuous of Lieges; why were there not the proper instructions and documents left by Lord Cantabrigan British to instruct her ascension.

I certainly do not deny thy claim; there are a number of individuals close to our liege that would've been more apt' to take 'pon the heavy mantle of leadership that our Once and Future King left behind. Alas, that he should leave these lands before its darkest hour.

((I am pleased to see that this event is inspiring a little roleplaying. *Smiles*

Lady Morgana. Alas, that some of the visitors here to UHall are naturally more inclined to be less receptive or even mildly insulting towards your tale. I would encourage you to make a copy of this thread on the White Stag Inn here on UOStratics. There aren't quite so many regular visitors, but your likely to find more individuals who would appreciate your tale.

Who knows? You might even get a storyline going on your own shard; perhaps setting up a small rebel faction that proclaims Abigail their queen. *Smiles* On Baja, the Kingdom of Dawn has always considered themselves separate from the Kingdom of Britannia; so there is much roleplaying about to occur centered around the impending threat to their sovreignty; whereas on Chesapeake, the Gyldenfeld Community recently held a meeting to discuss whether or not their small hamlet would recognize the Monarch Pro-Tempore. Some excellent storylines are about to occur on many of our shards.

Good luck!))

Isn't it interesting how a somewhat recently murdered en-masse "Royal Council" can appoint someone King to begin with?

Odd... when I saw Lord British pass from these lands and to the Void, I don't recall him saying 'OH BTW THAT GAL IN THE BACK ABIGAIL... SHE'S IN CHARGE!'

Nay... I do not recall that at all, in fact.

Before his death at the hands of Rainz, the Lord...our King...did proclaim to all of Britannia that Abigail, his young ward, would succeed him.

Unfortunately, I myself was but a young girl at that time, and oddly enough, I was seperated from my own sister.

I was suspecious at the time. I could not understand why, if one of the LeFay line was to ascend the throne, it would not be me...the eldest of two daughters of the Warden of Skara.

Yet, I knew that my own temperment would best be suited for other roles.

I always assumed that Lord British's fascination with my baby sister was the result of some agreement between himself and my father.

It would appear that it was more an agreement between Lord British and his adoring fans.

Abigail has been silent thus far. I have asked her what she desires, and she wants no part of ruling our fair land. She keeps saying something about 'the End'. I am not sure what she is talking about, but I am doing all that I can to encourage her to step forward.

There is only so much I can do on her behalf, but once Sosarians that do not know her come to know her...they will realize that she is indeed the Queen of our land, and deservant of our loyalty.

Hail WarderDragon.

You knew my father's father...did you not?

The Marquis de LeFay of Skara.

He was a noble of indirect descent to Lord British himself. A common ancestry they did share, although it was before Lord British's birth.

I recall stories about you, and the other Dragons. My father would often delight me with these tales around the fire in the late hours of the evening.

The presence of the Dragons as been missed in our world. And I have often mused to my Arcane guide, Sheol, that you had all been destroyed in the great "Renaissance", along with many that dwelt within our lands then.

I cannot verify my claims with documents or seals, for I was never privy to them.

But those of us that were present during that time in Britania know the truth.

And we all know that Casca is false.

I certainly do not deny thy claim; there are a number of individuals close to our liege that would've been more apt' to take 'pon the heavy mantle of leadership that our Once and Future King left behind. Alas, that he should leave these lands before its darkest hour.

PS If you really are going to take this to your shard to RP, good luck... we are having something similar on our shard. :)
