Fix Champ Spawn Scroll Bug

For a brief moment in time the Zerg guilds have had their stranglehold on powerscrolls broken. I thought every red wished upon a star for more people in the Fel Lands to hunt. The very fact that you can work a spawn, get raided and killed, and still possibly get a reward is bringing many of us to the Champs in the first place. The old system of Zerg raiders taking all was getting a bit old don't you think? Soon enough they will fix things and the lands will be Trammy free again.

You're in Fel. Just kill them all and loot their bodies. Greater reward for greater risk and all that.

i hope they actually look at the hive of activity in fel since this has happened and leave it stand.

It has drawn many new faces to fel which in my opinion is a good thing, i wouldnt be too fussed about changing back except i think it would be a seriously bad idea.

Besides arent TRUE fellucians not worried over the scrolls and just want the fight???

Thats what they keep saying, this therefore should surely be in there best interest to keep.

It is funny to see the zergs cry and pancake about this. It's as if they dont care that they are getting more and bigger fights. I know quite a few people on GL who would stop going to champs if they could no longer have the chance of getting a scroll as it is. The few people against this, hopefully, wont impact it for the majority.

I believe the true problem is Guild A will work the spawn until 3/4th level and leave, Guild B comes in and finishes it, but only comes up with a 2 scrolls. Guild A is hiding on the opposite end of the server with scrolls popping in their pack. Maybe keep this to a spawn region at the most?

How is this much different from Guild A working the spawn to the champ and then being raided?

Quit your whining and change your tactics if it's not working.

I dont disagree, but maybe have a timer instead, say if the spawn drops one level then the scroll/arty count is re-set.

Not too bad of an idea. Maybe not a full level but to get all scrolls the guild has to secure the area and let it drop one red skull before working it back up.

Also possibly all characters have to be within 90 tiles (just like the protector)

I actually think this bug should be left alone, its brought far more people to fel and gives the guilds that stand no chance against bigger/better/ pvp guilds a chance to enjoy this aspect of the game more. I have no idea if all the powerscrolls can be given out this way, but if they are, maybe all that should be done is to limit the amount given out by working the spawn alone.

Some people complain its unfair that you can get a powerscroll without damaging the champ, I think it should be considered equally unfair you can earn all the powerscrolls by just taking over the hard work of others. Two sides of the coin, both equally valid points of view.

Interesting also that often those who claim they only really want the pvp action are those complaining about the lack of reward :D

That was kind of my point about having it have to drop a full level, then the zurg wouldnt waste time waiting for the 15min drop, or, if they decide to wait then some guilds will have a decent chance to mount a counter offensive.

But yea maybe it should be a reduced area, seems silly you can get a scroll from working spawn in despise and waiting in shame for example.

I would agree with that idea. Make it where they have to be in the same "chamber" so to speak. Or at the very least the same DUNGEON. I do think it's crazy they can go sit in destard and get scrolls, lol. From a despise spawn I mean.

If all the tamer tramies would only realize that with enough of them they could take over despise... get 10- 15 super drags in there and they could chain it all they like. Would give the reds something to do as well but my guess is it would take a bit to get it taken over... if at all...
If the big tram guilds would just get some team work together they could do any of this...
Stop complaining and adapt...

Trams have a hard time working together. Just look at how they PvM in Trammel. It's all based on greed/me first/etc.. That philosophy doesn't fly in Fel where you have to work together to win.

Most of us trammies actually work very well as a group PvM,

The problem is not many of us are familiar with the PvP element and get too anxious and go for a kill rather than stick together.

Im not comlpaining im a trammy but i know that our guild has had some new players come to fel and champ because there is a CHANCE that even after a raid you can still walk away with something, its by no means a guarantee but there is a chance.

I just would think it was a better thing to keep it and draw more players back to fel.

Just my opinion anyways

You get better SOTs from fel. The replica and the PS should come from killing the champ. If you dont want to finish the spawn work it to get the SOTs then when the spawn gets to rough get out because I'll surely take it from you. And to what they said earlier, if the tram tamers would get together and work together they could slam people. 2 or 3 large tram guilds could easily field 25 greater dragons plus archers and stuff they just refuse to work together and adapt. But on the other hand if they field all those blues they run the risk of getting "blue raided". That is were the guild who is running the spawn isnt going to be defeted for the spawn so the "raiding" guild logs on there blues andstarts killing the champ after the tram guild has worked the spawn. The nature of fel is raw and the nature of the spawns themselves are the most brutal part of fel. Adapt or go farm peerless and buy your scrolls.

whats the need for a fix? if your there hitting the spawn then you deserve some good scrolls.
this eliminates aholes who wanna come in for a raid and just fight the champ, instead they have to actually do more work to get the full prize.

For the trammys there is no risk other than losing insurance. You kill spawn die but rez in del or pap sit there and recieve a scroll(maybe). Where's the risk?

I say leave it alone to bring all the trammylites to fel but close the gap on the spawn area for scroll drops maybe? You have to be near the champ when it dies to recieve a scroll? Sounds more like how fel should be....risk....:scholar:

Ive never received anything unless I worked it up to if not past level 2. I do believe however that the zone should be smaller. As I said earlier, keep it to that same dungeon. If you're in THAT dungeon, you have a chance at a scroll.

Actually, I don't want any part of it. You're the one on here crying and whining about your poor power scrolls. Poor guy.

Don't fix it. I spend 95% of my time in Felucca so I'm not some "trammy" who likes the fact that I can now get scrolls... actually, I simply like the amount of people who are willing to go and DO spawns now... start them... finish them... I've probably raided more spawns in the last month than I did in the 3 months prior to this.

Besides... with as long as powerscrolls have been out... most of the people I know have all the scrolls they could ever need for their own account... we don't really mind losing a few scrolls here and there..

Throw in the fact that there are solutions... and it's not really a problem. We simply wait until the champ is nearly redlined... go in... kill as many as possible, finish the champ and loot their bodies before they have time to res. Or we go in and locate their stealthers (usually one of them is the protector), wait until they finish the champ.. kill them and take the scrolls. Or we simply raid them on the first level... we can finish a rat spawn in less than 14 minutes most of the time (including the champ)... so if we raid on the first level and put them in stat, they won't make it back before it's over... nor will they have worked enough of the spawn to get scrolls.

If they do decide to change anything... only the radius in which you can receive a scroll should be changed. People shouldn't be able to work the first level, send that player to the other side of t2a and hide him... and then bring in another account... wash/rinse/repeat.

In other news: It does seem as though the 120 drop rates have been DRASTICALLY reduced... if that is the case and we haven't simply been RNG cursed lately... that should be fixed.

I think it should be contained to the dungeon the spawn is in and I think in order to receive a scroll you should atleast have to hit the champ. The spawn already has it's on small rewards. As it is now is broken but at the least they need to keep it so you are withing a few screens of the champ when it dies to receive a scroll.

Doesn't work that way. Although you're welcome to try it killing just 3 slimes.

I personally dont think this should be fixed, as someone said before, its bringing more people to fel. Im not an anti-trammel person, but i would rather see more people in fel. If this is bringing more people to to the desolace facet leave it be.

I love this quote. Before this patch uohall was filled with crybaby posts from people like you whining that a guild came in when the champ was up and got scrolls.

Now you work one lvl and wait for those big bad guilds to finish your ****. Its already been stated its a bug. For those whining if u work the spawn u should get something. You do you can get the better sots and chance at the replica. Thats good enough. Dont want to lose your spawn then defend it simple as that. For those whining about big guilds well apparently theres lots of shards that are dead that you can transfer to.

The biggest probem I have with this bug is that protectors are getting a scroll based on the spawn they killed and it shorts the scroll count from what protection is intended as. The only thing you will get from killing 3 slimes is a replica ... which is bad enough, because you can be in a totally diff. dungeon and get it!

I agree, Ill be honest and say it doesnt really matter to me whether it gets fixed or not, ill still stay champing in fel over ilsh any day.

But, i do think its good for the game, especially if they are trying to entice new people.

Imagine how quickly these new players would disappear if they cant get anything and put alot of effort into it??

I say keep it as it is but ill agree and say confine it to the dungeon.
