All shards will be published during their next regularly scheduled maintenance. Here are the notes:

• The Slime Event will be extended until January 24th.
• Slimes will now switch locations every 3 days.
• New hues will be available.
• Barding deeds can no longer be colored with Tokuno dyes.
• Barding deeds can no longer be recycled.
• All swamp dragons with Tokuno dyed barding armor will be reverted to iron.
• All dyed barding deeds will be reverted to iron.

I think the move to chaos stalled it. On mainstream shards they switched facets from brit farms, tram to chaos shrine, fel. No facet to switch on Siege. They haven't been seen since.

People are only buy the named Barding deeds, so a lot of times I have to smelth the un-named ones, this was before this dyed thing came along, was not going to waste the few tokuno dyes I had left, but I still make and sale normal [named] barding deeds, so I am going to lose ingots on those not recyclble Barding deeds, and with the nerf to mining so long ago you are just making it a lot harder for a miner/blacksmith to earn an honest living

You do know that low-end ASH are a dime a dozen, and you can get 100% Exceptional on Barding Deeds with 120 natural skill and either

A +10 ASH & a +30% Exceptional talisman

OR (more likely)

A +15 ASH & a +20% Exceptional talisman

(or you could use a +30 ASH without a talisman if you have extras to burn)

I've not made a normal barding deed since talismans came out, and literally have thousands of charges of +15 ASH uses laying around my house from BODs.

Please, please don't take out smelting of barding deeds. It's tough enough to waste the difference of 250 ingots between making a dud and recycling it, let alone wasting the full 750 on a non-exceptional deed nobody's ever going to buy.

We shouldn't have to burn ancient hammers, etc, just to make a regular consumable item. It can't be PoF'd or repaired, why must it be non-smeltable too?

Since when can't you insure barding deeds I have often gone to doom on my swampy for a long session and usually take at least 2 spare deeds and insure them so they don't get looted by those pesky Lich Lords .

I quit doing smith bods when they nerf mining. Today all I have are for PoF only, if I get a different bod in return for the PoF turn in that I cannot use to get more PoF I throw it away at the smith shop. Since the nerf on mining I now buy all my ingots in Luna, mostly Shadow ore, instead of mining my own as I did in the past. Before the nerf on mining I used to do smith bods daily and then mine for all the ingots I needed, I still have my collection of mining books in hopes that someday they will revert to them.

And yes you welcome to any BOD I toss to the ground.

I had 2 dragon deeds in my backpack that were dark blue and they were turned to iron but i was walking around luna and i see a red dragon and a white one.... will it take longer for them to be changed?

The ones people are riding do not change to iron, until they dismount from them.

Happened to me earlier, my dragon was still bright red so i dismounted, to arms lore it for durability, and it changed to iron.

So if you run into anyone in fel riding a colored one, bola them =P

One thing the devs screwed up on is that none of the dyed barding deeds were made from iron, yet they reverted them all to iron.
(Could only dye ones made from dull copper and higher)

Last night on LS a bunch of uber neon swampies lined up for a final farewell at Luna Bank. I wish now I had thought to hit print screen and capture it for prosperity

Fink: the point of ASHes is that they ARE to make items (consumable or otherwise). Once you get your first +30 Hammer for enhancing, the only things that +10s & +15s are good for are to make Platemail for BODs, Recipe items, and Barding deeds. I literally have so many of the low end ASHs I give them away (Still got at least 5000 charges worth of each) and get more turning in smalls for new BODs, than I consume.

Crying over charges of a +15 ASH is like crying over Dull Copper hammers not having enough charges.


Lord Drakelord: can I have all those Gold-Valorite runic BODs (small & large) you're throwing away, then?

The mining changes have turned out, for me, to be only a minor inconvenience. I can go find a mountainside or cave, mine for a few hours, and get most the ingots I need of any color, using the mining tools that are smith rewards. I actually have surpluses of Verite & Valorite ingots now.

Mining didn't get nerfed - Mining to farm Talismans at the library got nerfed. My friends that mine to sell ingots (and have never scripted) are doing just fine.

If anyone got nerfed, pity the poor carpenter & bowyer who lumberjacked to USE their wood, not donate to the library & museum. Miners were just minorly inconvenienced.

My patch is on the ground floor and it does not work period.


Added later: unlocking it and moving it somewhere else fixed it. Just unlocking and relocking did not.

Yah I'm a big weenie and want them somewhere a little more accessible. I read they are possibly at the arena near doom now, so going to check that out.
