Is this collection going to be for sale one to an account or can you buy more? (Not that I WANT to buy more, but I have dreams of replacing all the benches in my rune library with filled bookcases, and there's no way my crafter can get the ingredients to make them on my own.) And what is going to be the price of these?

If I had a log on SP I would sure give it to you Kelmo. But that's the good thing about SP isn't it? You can't transfer stuff that Japan gets first and sell it for bookoos there!
I guess we will just have to be patient a while longer.
After I typed "a while longer" my mind wandered to the movie Twilight where Bella asks Edward how old he is. He replies "17". Bella then asks "How long have you been 17?" to which he says "A while". I believe he's been 17 for about a hundred years? So "a while" has a different connotation for me since seeing that movie! I hope the Devs "a while" isn't so long!

Clearly "Just a little longer"... in EA Speak doesn't mean much. When was this fiasco started??? Back in September or October when the Japanese site posted the images and details of THEIR offer? That would mean EA US (or Mythic) or whoever has had 3 or 4 months to figure their sh#$% out assuming they had no idea what they were going to do BEFORE Japan made the announcment which I would find astounding.
Whoever was in charge of this promotion in the US... give them this from me...
It seems to me that you would want to release this asap, you have people begging for it. I know EA is saving tons of money these days by cutting projects and jobs, so they really dont need any extra cash but come on now.

That said, is there any chance that, say for the Stygian Abyss SKU, we could get new things like he heritage tokens that can be claimed for the Japanese SKU items (Spring Collection from a few years back too, not just 11th anniversary), just not in great numbers? (2-4 per box would be fine). That, or make the Spring Collection items craftables similar to the bookcase & hitching posts (using rare ingredients - you know, something that would use muculent and blight in large quantities might be nice, since they are near-useless in current crafting)

Since there were EA people on the boards yesterday I thought I would take this opportunity to ask yet again, if there is any word on the 11th Anniversary items for all us people who are NOT in Japan?
It is very frustrating to be told that we (the other paying customers) would get them 30 days (thereabouts) after Japan did which I believe was around November 13th and yet here it is January 6th and no word yet and most all questions regarding this have been ignored.
Please can we at least get someone to comment and tell us they don’t know when we are going to get them instead of just ignoring us?

By now I'm just waiting for Obama to take office... He'll fix everything.
Maybe he'll fire all the Mythic/EA GM/Marketing staff (Notice I didn't say Devs) who can't communicate let alone get anything done... if not that, then maybe he'll refuse to give the Online Gaming Industry a "Bail Out" until they clean their own house out.
These people are truly unbelievable...
I wish I had a job where I could maintain a 5% approval rating and job performance and still keep my job... what are these people doing for their money?

I would be less irritated if it were just something that they told us we would all get at the same time and they hadn't gotten it tested, marketed, etc.
But the fact that Japan has now had them for 2 months and not a single word as to when we can now expect them AFTER we were told we would get them 30 days AFTER Japan is what really irks me. I guess my money isn't quite as good as Japan's is even though they have been taking it for 11+ years now.

Clearly the concepts of "Under Promise and Over Deliver" were lost on any of these people who ever actually studied business in school.
They've been treading water and sinking slowly for far too long... I feel like someone's trying to tear off a band-aid one hair at a time... slowly killing off any good will people have toward this game. (no, not just with this)
Late publishes... short test times... too many bugs... too much exploiting... not enough support... I could go on and on...

Considering that EA's current fiscal year ends March 31, 2009, I would imagine that if we are going to have the ability to purchase items, the roll-out for English-speaking countries might happen soon in order to boost revenue figures before year-end.
However, keep in mind that on December 19th, EA announced that they intended to cut their workforce by another 10% (approximately 1000 people) and consolidate some facilities. They expected to have the majority of the layoffs done by March 31st.
As with many reorganization/restructuring efforts, I would imagine that there is currently quite a bit of confusion and controlled chaos at EA and we will never be privy to the details.
Have a bit of patience and empathy, folks, and hope for the best. It could be that it's just not possible right now to meet a timeline that was developed six months ago and the silence we're getting right now is because no one wants to pump up expectations another time in an environment where much is still very unclear.

Well if EA is looking to reduce their workforce, clearly there are whole departments (like say Marketing and GMs for UO) that are doing absolutely nothing... there's some staff that could easily be disposed of and the players would clearly not see any difference.
