I'm guessing very few people even care about them any more.

I hate not being able to use 8 of the Tram towns just because of this stupid invasion fiasco that never worked right in the first place...

I say never worked right, because supposedly there were only going to be 3 invasions active at a time, but on Lake Austin, at least, you can try to recall into 5 or 6 or 7 towns and get "Blocked Messages" for all of them, one after the next... and then you run into the towns and most of the time there's nothing going on there anyway.

PLEASE just end the drama... or keep it in Fel with the PvP'rs and Faction'rs...

They like to do this. Or at least it seems this way. But the last invasions i remember they always went on for a long time. It almost seemed like they just kinda forgot that they was still even going.

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten. Having the new EMs online is a big part of our plan moving forward.

This story arc will be ended with a finale that: engages the Shadowlords themselves, introduces the Platinum dragons, and decides on "balance of power" rewards per shard for the factions.

Once complete, it'll segue into the arc leading up to SA.

You're not blocked from recalling into invaded towns anymore. But you do run the risk of popping in and being attacked by invasion spawn.

I really didn't like the invasions at first but I've grown kinda used to them and like them now. I like the randomness, and I like the camaraderie I've seen in battling invasion spawn.

So we should plan for the next year not to use any of the Tram towns???

That SUCKS!!!

Ah ok. I'd heard that ya guys wasn't actually planning on ending the invasions. That it'd just be a part of the game from now on. But that's cool to hear, so plantinum dragons? Will they be tameable?

No more than the Crimsons :)

Although, they might try to *tame* you.

(Note to self: add human pets for the crimsons)

I sort of felt like the original poster when invasions first started simply because the Town Criers weren't giving out accurate info. Now that things seem to be more predictable I find it fun.

Thanks to the dev's for the nice mods on the spellbooks and the weaps. :)

Hopefully, we'll see Magincia rebuilt soon and with EM's help. We lost alot of unique areas and history.

Draconi when these are done please put a total injunction on old virtue city town attacks for like, 3 years. Any town attacks coming up in the works soon or after SA, please do them in Luna, Malas and Tokuno or something.

I enjoy the invasions and wish they'd keep them going, or at least keep something invading. I liked knowing I could kill things and getting stuff like the specially-hued armor, while defending my hometown. I'm going to miss them when they go, but I hope something else will happen right after that. It's the monotony in-between story arcs that drives me nuts.

Though it's had its issues, this has been a very good event cycle, and I would urge you to not be discouraged by whiners.

On LS at least, the invasions are not neglected, though sometimes a Crimson Dragon will take awhile to be fought. I've been impressed with this actually, and later today I should post a thanks to my shard.

Anyway, kudos on this event cycle.

One suggestion I must definitely make is to have more fiction. It should be weekly at the least. Even if there's no changes in the event, there should be at least weekly fiction to keep people engaged, to remind people that there's something going on, and that what's going on isn't just random spawn, but part of an ongoing event cycle.

We should definitely know by now, for example, what on earth is up with Casca and his staff behind closed doors. He's the last remaining member of the Ruling Council, surely he's doing something right now other than getting drunk.

i might have already posted in this threed but, i hope it doesn't end . just remove the blocking thing so people can travel like normal but let the invasions continue. it at least gives some reason and meaning to being in factions. and gives a person something else to do.
maybe start making there armies bigger or more powerfull. ... thinks back to the great battle that brought forth Trammel.. sigh that was sweet.

True... but the NPCs are frequently inaccessable... either running from you, attacking you, or stealing from you...

If you are like me trying to buy something like plant bowls you have to recall around to a bunch of places buying them because they have 20 per vendor (to start) and they've basically screwed 8 towns in Tram...

I gues it's just me but I'm fed up with it... and UO I guess.

Invasions are disruptive. Yeah, if you want an MMO without invasions or without disruptive events? Then yeah, you're fed up with UO....It's always had dynamic content of one kind or another. There have been many invasions in the course of this game's history. How long was Trinsic completely inaccessible due to Minax's Undead? Simply walking nearby Trinsic was often a death sentence. How long were multiple cities unusable because of the Juka? And that wasn't an invasion in waves like this one. That one was constant.

So yeah, if you're sick of that you are probably sick of UO. Invasions are far from the most disruptive thing we've ever had in this game.

That will be nice, but hopefully they will give the slackers (ME) a decent warning on when the rubble rewards will be turned off. *hides head*

I always start buying bowls in Zento since there are 3 provisioners. They've respawned by the time I recall back after hopping around a bit and filling the bowls. (I realize being a gardener you may already do that, but maybe others hadn't thought of it). :)

Oh, I agree completely! Fiction is handled almost always by the design team, and we'd like to get back in gear again - one of the last things we wrote was "Dungeons and Flagons."

Recap: Avery has been framed, and is incarcerated with Ricardo. Casca seems to be on the cuff of seizing power over the kingdom.

Then the sudden invasions of the towns began, panic ensued.

Umm....Dude, I think you just gave something away that was supposed to be discovered?

*coughs*

Eh, then again, you're writing the story, so I am really in no position to criticize you for giving away parts of your own story, am I.....

*chuckles*

I remember "Dungeons and Flagons," but...Well, let's face it. It was a little while ago, and most UO players appear to have short attention spans.

I do think that most of us are enjoying this event. I know I am. I've been impressed with how diligent my shard is in handling it, even with all these nifty Replicas spawning.

I just don't like how the sigils are tied to this event. Spend 4 hours defending, get sick of UO and go do something else. By the time you get back the sigs are available to steal again.

Lots of factioners stopped logging on because there is no real reward for owning towns.

...

Well I would say feel free to give those Faction Artifacts, which can only be obtained when you own a town, to me, but you can't, because they are character- and Faction-bound. Which is fine I guess.

What was the real reward for owning the towns before?
