It is too bad that in the spirit of giving the way some Event Moderators have, a few are not like minded individuals on the receiving end. Many of us have been to the counselor's guild hall in Britain to welcome them until such time they can wander freely. In the meantime, there is sometimes a token of thanks for stopping by.

So stop by and welcome them if you see them, understand that they do not sit there all day every day so it may be hit n miss for a spell. As soon as their training is complete, I feel pretty certain that no one will be in want or have to spend a gold piece for such thoughtfulness.

It is still the Holidays, I hope you have a Happy New Year and that it is filled with fun things to do both in game and out all of 2009.

Actually, outside of being an EM, I've no clue who any of Atlantic's is. Just go visit and say hi. I got the sash from of them saying hi back. Though, don't be surprised if suddenly you see a cow of godlike proportions. I'm sure if he could have had a dragon there without harming anyone, we'd have seen an unlootable dragon being killed by a cow.

I been seeing our assigned EM a few times at the counselor's guild hall in Britain, one day we played a game of chess, which I am very bad at, since I have not played in several years, for the game she gifted me a sash with her greetings on it.

Well couple days later I dropped in on her on an alt, and was playing around with the icy patches, dropping couple on the carpet, saying "Oh My! someone spilled milk!" A cute joke and got a grin from her, well she tried to give me another sash which I turned down, explaining to her that she had given my main one already and I did not need another. Which is very true, I did not need another sash.

During our first days when we sat at the table and chatted, I told her then I'm not here to get an reward/gift, I am here to play the game and have fun. I have my sash I don't need any more!

This is why pretty much every rant about Event Moderator favoritism and unfairness is completely unfounded. All you had to do was visit the EM at the counselors guild, as was announced publicly on the UO.com website.

This was announced as best they possibly could without stating be [location] at [time] on [day]. Then there would have been hundreds of people showing up and overwhelming the EMs.

Actually.. the LS ones were at the Community Meetup on LS last week Monday (it was moved to Britain since they couldn't leave), and there was a post saying so on the forums (and giving the time) and only about 30 people showed up total for it. And they've been there almost every day since they got their positions for several hours. Anyone on LS that's missed 'em has very little right to complain, that's for sure.

I just met EM Kanmare and EM Aeon, both were really nice. I'd like to eventually meet EMs SykoBri and Vespera as well. =D

As for the sashes, no favouritism involved.

You guys ask for more events. They give you EM's so they can do this. Now you pancake because you are to lazy to go to where they are to get an item. If you want it go greet them. Shouldn't be to hard to find. Then again, ever since AoS, the people keep getting more and more "handicapped".

You talk to them for a minute, they give you a sash.

There is better ways to get info out covering an on the fly happening. Not like the log in window goes for months without nothing new..........Ack. There are theese other shards better supported that put a book in where plp tend to go (Luna Bank). There are some of us with limited game time/net time. Spending 25%-50% that time looking for in game going ons and not playing is a no-brainer. Those entities called moongates talk and they could put out the word of a world event.

- had a sash from EM a few years back...lost it along the way, and never wore it anyhow. I'm still trying to clean out the junk and just have fun with the game. Nothing wrong with treasuring certain items, but I for one will not grope for, nor covet such trinkets.

Sometimes people also get on here and rant while in the emotion of being frustrated and after relaxing a bit wish they had gone about it differently. I'm sure Lord Kynd felt that lump of coal I snuck up and stuck in his ear just as frustrating *grins*

I think you need a hug - On Sonoma I visited the counselors building in Brit -- 3 times I've gotten a sash from EM's there. Didn't have to ask or pay a bounty Interacted - chatted, laughed, carried on in a silly manner with the EM(s) and those visiting. Basically, nothing different than what I do on a regular basis ingame - so - there ya go!
