anyone know the number to call EA customer support?

i know it sends ya to Pakistan somewhere, but i am in need to a living talking (all be it in another language) person.

my credit cart got updated and they gave me a new number and i went to update it on the account updater page and it wont let me.

so i went so far as to delete the billing info and tryed to start from scratch.
nothing.

so now there is absolutlly nothing listed there for me, hahahhaa.

and every time i enter the info and hit ok it just reloads the same page that i just filled out.

anyone else ever have this happen?
anyone have a work around?

No message pointing at a field it might expect to be filled out? If you're not using IE, try it again with that brower - I have never encountered what you describe on an EA form, but I seem to have encountered a lot of other web forms this year that had situations where they only worked properly under IE.

1-866-543-5435 is the EA Customer Support number but Id wait til tomorrow afternoon or friday to call. Though in a post above seems they know of the problem and should have it fixed by tomorrow..if you do call though expect a 30mintute wait or longer I think all games are ran though that number now last time I call took them 20 mintutes to get to me and I spent over 30 on the phone with them.

i guess my question is if their site is down for a couple days, that does what do to us whos accounts expire tonight at midnight?

its not like their internal computer system is gonna take that their billing system is down into consideration.

its gonna roll over the accounts tonight and punt whos not paid up, no?

I don't know anyone who doesn't have a problem with EA customer support - hell, that's an oxymoron right there!

All I can say is that when I update my billing details, I log in at uo.com and choose edit account. It worked fine about a month ago.

Good luck to those of you struggling with it, and fingers crossed you don't get locked out. I can't remember where it was posted, but there was a customer service evaluation link. They emailed it to me, although I bet they wish they hadn't *grins evilly* ;D

Billing has been screwed up for at least 4 days, thats when i tried to change my information on there, and even customer service couldn't change the information for me. They just said to wait till it expires then try again with the new information when it asks for it. Thats what we pay our monthly subscriptions for. Wait for your account to run out then hope you can restart it. Seriously? I wasn't told there was a problem, it just kept telling me my billing info didn't match my credit card info. Checked 5 times and EA support checked it. Time to fix the sytem maybe.

Anyone able to change their info on EA's site yet? Is this still not fixed. Anybody out there know? Anyone who works at EA and would like my money? I still can't change my credit card information.

Hopefully this will help a few folks.

A couple of my accounts expired within the last couple of days because I removed all the billing information a few months ago. I went to the Account Management site that you reach by clicking Account Management and then clicking New/Edit Acct from the main UO.com site. Logged in using the gray "Edit Acct" button.

With the first account I needed to update with credit card information, I initially tried the route of updating my credit card info on the Billing Info page. It wouldn't work. Don't remember exactly what happened, but the information wouldn't go through.

Being the stubborn old lady that I am, I tried another approach and it did work, both with an account that had not yet expired and two times with accounts that had just expired the same day or a day or two earlier. Here's how I did it:

Go to the Subscription Info page. Either click the Reactivate Subscription link (if the subscription has expired) OR click on the Change Billing Method link. In either case, you should get a screen asking for your credit card information. Fill in the info and then click OK at the bottom. Next, you'll get a screen that asks you whether you want to set up your subscription to renew monthly, every 3 months, or every 6 months. Make your choice and then click OK at the bottom of that screen. After a few seconds, you should get a confirmation message.

A note of caution: If your subscription is nowhere close to expiring but you want to update your credit card information, I would advise against using the approach described above. I'm pretty sure that every time you get into the "Change Billing Method" screen, your credit card is dinged with the subscription fee and your subscription period is reset, even if you still had time remaining on it. I'm not positive about this, however, but it seems like I ran into that problem a while back when I was poking around on that page.

If you just want to update credit card information, perhaps try removing the billing information and wait to update it until you get an e-mail from EA/Mythic telling you the subscription will expire in 7 days. (Make sure you have provided a current e-mail address.) Maybe one of these days whoever runs that site will fix the problems with using the Billing Info page.
