A Birthday Request of Our EM

Sunday, the 28th, will be my 21st birthday.

I have played UO with my family, who no longer plays, for many years, my eldest account having just turned 11 years in November.

I have nothing planned for the special day, as it's cold outside and my town is boring... and I'd just rather play UO and drink at home.

"Back in the day" EMs would host weddings and birthday parties, and I was wondering if perhaps it was possible to maybe have something for myself?

Nothing big like a party, that's too much, but maybe a bottle of wine with "To Calina, On Her 21st Birthday" on it?

I'm probably out of line, but I had to ask

I'm no EM...the best I could do would be to give you a book. But I would encourage you to drink yourself silly. (Call me the devils advocate). Maybe we should all gather in a dungeon and get our toons butt-sloppy-drunk. lol

Seeing as I don't think anyone wants to be reprimanded for hosting a birthday party, I don't think you'll have much success on that front (getting an item, I mean). Maybe if you organize a party yourself, though, and post it on your forums... you could be fortunate and someone would stop by to say hello? As far as I'm aware all the EMs are still stuck in the Counselor's Halls/Test Centers though. I guess you could always host it in the Counselor's Hall? Hahaha.

I'm not sure you will get the personal attention you deserve Calina, but that did give me an idea. Perhaps the new EM could start hosting a monthly Birthday Bash on Catskills. That way anyone celebrating a birthday that month (or those just looking for an excuse to get plastered ) could join in the party.

Wait...isn't there a way to "label" stuff now? I mean, you can engrave a spellbook or weapon...is there an engraver tool that will work on any item?

As far as I know EMs are not aloud to post on any public forum. You'll have to find him yourself for a request, but I'm also quite sure he can't make personal items. Maybe he could host a birthday bash for you in the hall though, it'll probably be decorated by then.

There's spellbook, weapon and container engravers... and armor ones for the oh-so-favorite Japanese players.

^.^ Yeah, I figured it was a long shot of the request! When we spoke with him, he said he'd be reading this forum... so I figured I had to ask. I've been stopping by the Counselor's Hall once a day to seek him out since we all met him, but he hasn't been there.

Ooooh well, guess it'll be just me and my green machine!

I *should* hold a party, though. Even if its just an outdoor table and cake setup.

EM's are not aloud to post in public forums??? I didn't know that...now I feel a bit silly.

Yes but they read them and have alternate usernames just like everyone else.

Yea the FOF says

“I was wondering, where can I meet the Event Moderator assigned to my shard?”

Please check the Britan Counselor Guild Halls in Trammel to see if they are available to meet you!

So unless you just "happen" to catch them there you are SOL.
