ive seen more than 10 of them thats 10 accounts and im sure there are more.
some of the houses are inside the walls of luna, the other odd thing is that these homes are just plots, they dont even look if the are used they just sit there,

Well on Europa he has at least 4 homes inside luna. One of it used to be a museum, but he set it to private someday. Other 2 plots are shops with a lot of (empty) vendors.
He has at least one more home I know of, at Zento. And I think he´s italian, since one of his homes is decorated in the italian colours.

I think he owns 7 of them inside the walls on Europa and I seen 2 on atlantic. and there is one in luna on catskills that i know he paid 800 cash for over a year ago and hasnt touched it since. I know this cause I offered the person who placed the lot at a Idoc 500mill and he gave me a maybe if his cash buyer for 800 cash dont get back to him soon. and the next day the place was owned buy Darsus.

If you were really rich, and hated UO, then you could buy up a bunch of houses (particularly in Luna) and just turn them all into empty, unused plots. Over time, your efforts might effect retention rates negatively.

You might think this would be an unreasonable waste of money (and even time) for anyone. It's not. You have no idea how bored rich people can get. Also, being on this forum, you should have an idea of how tireless trolls can be. Now imagine rich trolls.

Of course, if you were EA, then you could do this for free, or with your pocket change in those cases where you had to buy from a player.

Probablly just a realstater. Yes there are many players who deal in real estate so they hold good spots in different shards then sell or auction them. Came about since the beggining. Even a guild of realstaters with at least 1 character name the same to signify it belongs to the guild real estate etc.. Theres alot to Ultima online besides pvm and pvp.

It might sound odd to you, but I wasn't even aware his plots are empty or unused. You know, I live in fel, have a completely different "business" (one that makes my main slightly KoS... ) and to me the luna house market means nothing. Actually I would like to be part of the raze of luna . So no, I didn't ask him.

My guess would be that he is not much active in UO in this period (I met him in EVE few days ago), but really that's only a guess. And seriously, the conspiracy theory about the poor darsus is, just, LOL. Envy is really a bad beast...

Well said, Dermott. UO is a game. We each have our own play style and no one needs to try to force their preferences on us. If Luna plots make him happy, then so be it. He's doing nothing wrong. I hope he enjoys all of his properties.

to those on Europa, check out the Town he owns on the coast south of yew, he owns castles and plots there, he also has several castles, keeps between snamkes pass and the bog of desolation, he had keeps in the trinny swamp,

i know this cos we used to compete and i sold many plots to him so he could make castles, until we had a falling out as i refused to drop a freshly placed keep as he said he had the rights to the land

i do however feel "somone" at EA needs to have a word as TGF "the gold factory" vendors on luna have been empty for over a year,

Yes he must pay his fee's, unless he is affiliated to UO, but he IS taking up real estate, as it were, that literally DOZENS of more active playersa can make use of

If I had infinite amount of money, I would probably buy all of luna on every shard and leave them as empty plots too. Maybe customize them in a way to give it a fire effect. Don't like it? Tough luck.

Luna should have been razed eons ago. If we can have invasions in the CAPITAL city of Sosaria then why not Luna?

Looks just like any other real estate hogg really, I guess he thinks there's some status symbol in owning a chunk of Luna. I can't help but think it's more than a little greedy for one player to own such a large number of properties that others could use though. But there is a lot of property greed in UO, so there's no point singling out Darsus for it. Though if the accounts aren't all being paid for, that's something else

Luna is a dump though, so I kinda feel sorry for anyone paying 800 for a plot and finding it turned out less appealing than the sewers in Britain heh.

always was my feeling that Luna should have been kept The City of Light that was intended.... no vendors should have been allowed inside the walls and it would have encouraged people to make rune libraries, museums, gardens and such

In the spirit of fairness, EA should make a rule prohibiting the ownership of more than one Luna property. How else is anyone besides these successful and enterprising players going to compete?

If the game were "fair" noone could have more than anyone else, thus GREATLY stunting the advancement of the game as a whole and the players individually.

Personally, I'm glad the game is NOT fair, sure there are certain ingame systems that can be improved, but we should NEVER make rules that take from one to give to others plain and simple.

The "fairness" if you want to call it that in this situation is that this Darsus person is paying a SEPARATE subscription fee in REAL MONEY to EA/Mythic for each house they own. So if anything, this person Darsus is doing more to keep UO alive than harming it by owning a few extra properties.

As long as it's being and been done legitimately and without exploiting, then what Darsus has done is perfectly fine. If Darsus has in some way exploited game mechanics to achieve what they have, then ban them for exploiting game mechanics, but NOT for owning a few houses.

I pay to EA money for all account and all house, my money is used as your to denvelop UO world. A normal people pay 1 and play for 1 person, I pay 10 or more but play for 1 person only for have house, I don't understand which is the prolem????
