because i wanted to start my first warrior.
I always played my tamer or pure SDI mage, and never had a warrior. I just thought they were lame - for kids who play UO and have the mentality of a brick and the patience of a pitbull.
I started a warrior because i wanted to start soloing hard things (im a loner and not much of a group player) - and there was one PvMer at the time who i saw do what i thougth was impossible.
So, i paid for a 6th character slot, started my 1st warrior, and sought out to do some things that at the time were extremely hard to do even in a group of 3.
Fail after fail, insurance money after insurance money, frustration after frustration, i almost quit UO. I was thinking, the only way this person is able to do this is by cheating. Scripting. Speed hacks etc...
However, what i did find out in the few weeks, was i was getting better, closer - lasting longer in my fights if you will. I kept learning new things - combos - tricks - timing etc...
It took a while, but i finally did my first big time solo.
I then tweaked my warrior many times since. Changing items, skills and different strategies.
I now think i have the ultimate warrior template. My question is, to the very experienced (more experienced) warrior users out there, do they use my template, and have they found a better template than this?
Vampire Form Pally/Samarai
Use Curse Wep
A MUST is a 25%+ SSI wep and HEAVY mana leech
MUST honor every foe
Basically, you leech 70% of the damage you do back. With 100% DI suit, 100+ tactics and anatomy PLUS honoring, you will do HUGE damage.
With 120 wep skill and 45% HCI, you rarelyl miss, if yuo can swing once every 1.25 seconds leeching back 70% of the BIG damage you do - it is nearly impossible to die one on 1.
The mana leech on your wep plus passive gaining will be enough for EoO, cursed wep and the occasional evasion.
Anyone else find a better template? The only thing i have not tried yet (still training it) is using Ninjitsu instead of Spirit Speak (mirror image instead of cursed weopon).
