A few things that would help balance PVP on Siege... and other shards IMO

-You should not be able to stealth while in animal form.

-Make it so that trapped boxes do 5x damage if you are under the effects of paralyze.

- Evil omen should not work with the spell paralyze.

- If you are detected you should not be able to hide again for 6 seconds kinda like the dismount timer.

Also, 3 should be fixed before or at the same time as 2.

Some other ideas in regards to Siege.

  • Disable use of soulstones.
  • Figure out a way to limit one account per person on the shard.

-Thieves should be able to steal from 3 tiles away.

I know you are thinking of ways to balance pvp but you are nerfing a whole class, not just a template.

I know you are thinking of ways to balance pvp but you are nerfing a whole class, not just a template.
You can't steal in animal form (except ferret) anyway...la

How about making player pets impossible to attack players, to remove the serious greater dragon pvp problem. I am shocked no one has mentioned that yet. I like seeing your ideas that you have posted but I don't think they are what Siege needs. I bet you would be surpised to find out the removal of tamer pvp would do. I know a lot of people would return.

Devs or anybody with any say please disregard this guy's posts. His guild has been getting owned of late by my guild filled with noob stealthers who really suck. He can't compete anymore because his win at all cost friends are leaving the guild so he needs ways to nerf us because he can't swarm us with numbers anymore. He is hoping WE get nerfed because all the lousy pvpers in his guild are stealthers anyway so it won't hurt HIM. He wants it like the old days when a naked mage could slaughter anybody with a wep with ease.

He does not want to have to learn how to deal with stealthers, for him it is easier to cry for a nerf because well he just doesn't have the numbers to "be good" anymore. Its sad when the "best" pvpers on the shard have to come and cry to the devs to make him better. Sad day indeed.

Ok I was being sarcastic, he is no where near the best. The best pvpers on the shard just kill you and let others come cry to the boards like little girls who dropped their lollipop in the mud.

How about making resist worth having again?

As it stands these days it's only good for Para & Cast poison and even cast Poison makes it through a lot.

Plus coupled with Evil Omen, Para is Worthless.

Resist should add maybe 1 point(?) per 20 ontop of armor to the fire/cold/poison/energy.

Or perhaps make it so resist lowers the amount of damage you take from all spells.

1% per 10 or something like that.

Anything to make it a skill worth having these days.

recruit someone into your guild who uses tracking/detect

-Make it so that trapped boxes do 5x damage if you are under the effects of paralyze.
i dunno about this. maybe require tinkering to be able to free yourself from paralyze with an item.

- Evil omen should not work with the spell paralyze.
resist spells should be more powerful against evil omen

- If you are detected you should not be able to hide again for 6 seconds kinda like the dismount timer.
not a bad idea. maybe 3 second

Your joking .. right? After reading what you placed as item 1. I play a ninja stealther archer
and you want to nerf me even more that i've already been? why? Sounds like to me you cry a lot, mate.
As for the evil / para .... yes i agree that is an over powered combo.

Sounds pretty good except since I like to play a stealther I'd rather see you not be able to hide or smoke bomb in animal form. In other words you would have to be in human/elf form to hide start stealthing then you can transform. Yes I played a stealther when you had to count your steps and it sucked, being able to travel arround in animal form is just to good to give up and would help put a end to players in wolf form running outta screen and smoke bombing away...

The 6 seconds on being able to hide again is fine as well as long as it isn't attached to passive detect. If somebody uses the skill to detect you then you shouldn't be able to smoke bomb right away.

I like most of your ideas except number 1 , but the rest seriously needs work badly

How about we make players be choosey about which skills they have by
limiting the distribution of Skill points by this table:

1. Only one Skill has 120.0 points and all others capped at 75.0 points.
2. Two Skills has 115.0 points and all others capped at 70.0 points.
3. Three Skills has 110.0 points and all others capped at 65.0 points.
4. Four Skills has 105.0 points and all others capped at 60.0 points.
5. Five Skills has 100.0 points and all others capped at 55.0 points.
6. Six Skills has 95.0 points and all others capped at 50.0 points.
7. Seven Skills has 90.0 points and all others capped at 45.0 points.
8. Eight Skills has 85.0 points and all others capped at 40.0 points.
9. Nine Skills has 80.0 points and all others capped at 0.0 points.

This includes items skill boosting! Items boosting above the highest skill value
will supress other Skills in point value temporarily
from next highest skill value. So, a 10+ ring pushes 120.0 skill upto 130.0
will cause the next highest skill go down by 10.0.
Clearly, selection of items with skill points will push one skill up and the
rest downward point by point.

I need to give an example for the Distribution table.

Suppose you already have six Skills at 120.0 earned points.
You select option 1. Then you select which skill will be 120.0 points and the other
five skills will temporarily supressed to 75.0 points, not counting items.
Later you need a different skill distribution... then you select option 3.
You select three skills at 110.0 points and the others three are supressed to 65.0 points.
You will be allowed to change this during the game once a minute.

No earned skill points will ever be lost!

If you want to make animal form unstealthable, they need better bonuses. The current ones do not justify such a nerf.

Omen + para has always been op.

Why shouldn't a hider be able to Hide again if his timer is up?

OOOWWWNNN. Once they are caught they are completely helpless. noob.

Maybe Siege is worse now because of the Faction retardifacts they added.

I watch my friend play almost daily, wearing the top artifacts always.

70's suit.
9 HP regen!!

Does this sound like Siege to you?
Sounds like Tram to me.....

Horrible ideas by the OP.
Shame on you for blaming the wrong people, i.e. stealthers.
