Why 90 healing and not 100?

I see many who settle with 90 healing instead of 100. My question is, is healing above 90 a waste? and if so, why? I currently working a warrior character whom a enjoy to use for pvm. i'm thinking about lowering healing to 90 and putting those 10 from healing to chiv, magic resist or 120 swords.

his current temp is

120 parry
115 swords
115 anatomy
100 tactics (115 with jewlery)
100 healing
62.1 chiv
102.9 magic resist (106.9 with jewlery)

-thanks

Most melee templates get tight on points to spend with all the things you would like to put on them. 90 healing is ok, but is usually a sacrifice made on tight templates. I prefer 100 on my healing though. For your build since you don;t do the necro thing and don't do the samurai thing (chiv only fighter) I would probably make a few changes. I would tell you what those would be, but it would depend on if you PVM or PVP.

I would appreciate your input, this char is for pvm.

I can also have the flexability of lowering my tactics to 85 and allocating those 15 skill points to other areas because of my +15 tactics ring I can still keep it at 100 tactics (it's a nice +15 tactics, +13 HCI, +13 DCI, and +15 physical resist ring) so I don't really see myself replacing that ring for a long time.

If I were to do PVM without any necro or bushido I would probably do something like:

120 Swords
120 Parry
110 Tactics
100 Anatomy
100 Healing
100 Resisting Spells
70 Chivalry

I would really consider bushido though it is pretty close to rediculous.

Keep in mind that specials will only work with real tactics skill, so you will not be able to use your secondary special with your ring.

As for the OP: people have 90 healing because there is not a big difference in damage healed between 90 and 100, and 90 skill is minimum needed for not failing a bandage.

Chaosy brings up a good point. You can use +tactics to boost your damage but if you don't have even 70 or 90 tactics you aren't going to be doing the applicable weapon specials. Really it is personal preference between 90 or more. 90 is where bandages start to get reliable. Any more than that is just player preference.

Some may argue that you can use 100 instead of 90 to take care of deadly poison better and such. In any event there are ways around that and someone who knows what they were doing will kill you anyways if you haven't prepared yourself.

As far as PvM...same reasoning. You can put those 10 points in places where you could really need it more. Which...for a dexxer is plenty of places I can think of.
