Hitching Post (REPLICA?!")

Okay. So. It's my understanding that the Japanese got Hitching Posts for their 11th Anny promotion.

I was very much looking forward to being able to buy all the items they were offered. I was willing to wait until Mid-December... now... for that opportunity.

I still see that I cannot buy the promotional items, but they're giving us the ability to create some of the items, such as the Hitching Posts.

That's fine by me so far, so long as I know we'll still be able to buy the other items via the website soon.

What is not fine by me is that I notice that our crafted posts have (Replica) on the end. I hear that this is not so for the Japanese.

So not only did we receive the redheaded stepchild treatment by being shafted on the date of availability (if the items are even being made US-available at all now) but we're getting "Replica"s while the Japanese get the "Real" thing?

This is not meant to be a rant. I'm just asking the following things:

1) Are us US players still going to be able to purchase the 11th Anny Set? Earrings, stumps and all?
2) Are the Japanese Hitching Posts not labeled "Replica" as I have heard? If not, then why are the US players getting "Replica"s?
3) Does EA in America ever plan on giving the US player some "exclusive first" as EA did in Japan?

It just sucks that some of the US players, where WOW and other games like it dominate so much while we remain loyal to UO, get made to feel as if our fewer numbers somehow lessen our value as customers.

Ive never understood the segregation in UO American, asian or martian we should all have official access to the promo offers that Asia seems to get alot of and the rest of us get sloppy seconds if anything.

I don't mind that it says replica on it. So long as it works the same way.
I do remember when we used to get anniversary gifts for "free" though. Sad they make us pay for them now. Think it started with the "7th anniversary box" set. Although I do recall we at least got one gift per account back then foc.

I've got used to the fact we have to pay for them. So when are they going to let us buy them it's been over a month now.

They could at least tell us something even if it's bad news

2. The ones from the 11th anniv arent, the ones you craft are.

I think I would've happily paid money to have a "real" hitching post.

I know this whole replica thing came about with EM items to devalue the rares market after they were duped so much... the title should've stayed with those items, instead of devaluing something that's supposed to be a gift to us.

No doubt the replica thing is just a bug, seeing as the hitching posts were introduced at the same time as the 'real' replicas D) there must have been some mixup in the code. Just submit a bug report and try not to let it bother you
