I think EA should do away with GMs.

Seriously! They are useless, pointless, worthless and a complete waste of money.

I know I'm here, but if they got rid of the usless GMs then they could spend the $$$ on other stuff.

I mean they're obviously a waste of space when I ask them to look for a item that has fallen under my house and I'm told "They can't replace lost or stolen items...WTF???" I was also told to "Check the Knowledge base" ....WTH ever. Totally worthless IMHO!

They don't bust cheaters, they don't help players so what is the point of paying for something that is useless?? I'd rather UOMythic spend the money on in game additions or more pixel crack!

So what does the rest of ya'll think???

Sorry but not all the GM's are worthless. More times than not I get lucky. And know others with the same experiences. Sure sometimes you get a dense one. But that's the same thing with any customer service. And they do respond when asked nicely.

Um ... this has been a *feature* of the game pretty much since the beginning ... GM's have ALWAYS retrieved items that fall thru the floor ... I think they should be aware of it by now ...

I'll send in the bug report of course. It just spoils my evening when I come home from work and want to play with my Christmas pixel crack....err pressies in peace only to have a locked down garland go...POOF! Then GM ImABot doesn't even TRY to help or read my page for that matter.

*SIGH* I miss the GMs of the old days, the red robed figures that would pop-up and actually FIX you problem. I miss the good ole days.

You also have to figure that the team itself, as well as their hours, were cut back.

There isn't live support 24/7 anymore, it seems.

Often people may get them during off-hours.

Also, its not the GMs fault that UO Live's policy ties their hands so well. I think the policies just need to be rethought.

ok how to get your "item" is go into customization mode and place a teleporter tile next to the "item" that fell under the house. then come out of customiztion mode and have a friend stand on the teleporter, with your friend standing on the teleporter have them log out of the game, and after they log out of the game, you need to go back into custo mode, and have one of your friends while your in custo mode log back in. that will place them on ground level, come out of customize mode and have them pick the item up and place it on the floor next to them., and after you get your item go back and fix what ever you may have had to take down, in order to do this.

Well maybe it was worded wrong (yes I realize that's all in perception, but I've had to reword some of my pages a couple times before I got the help I needed...sad but true), idk. But kaiya seems to have a solution assuming no vendors that belong to other people are in the house. Good luck to you!!

Well I followed Kaiya instructions, and I didn't find my garland. Sooo it just went poof I guess....that sucks even more. I wonder why it went poof?

I still stand by my original statment..lose the GMs and spend the money on things like fixing stuff and shiny, new, pixels.

I think we just need to negotiate a discount from our monthly fees each time they cut and paste a standard reply. Give players a gump to report how helpful (or otherwise) that response was and each month the boss GM reviews the pages and responses and decides which players get discounts and which GMs get a pair of thigh boots shoved where the sun doesn't shine... Maybe then some would actually read pages and not hit the random response generator.

Or we pay a callout charge so they have the incentive to actually show up! Dirt cheap subs with a callout as required for support, rather than paying extra and getting stuff all.
