Well maybe...just maybe? They found something and it required attention sooner than later and had to wait for the fix to be done? I mean yes it's annoying to have it down. But honestly no need to be that way about it.

i agree. obviously it's got to be something large that needs immediate attention, or they wouldn't have taken the shards down during prime time. i'd rather be playing, but i'm glad they're getting much faster in responding to things rather than let them remain for weeks and screw things up even worse. remember the strangers? they were crashing shards and it took ea a while to fix that and they ended up nixing the whole event before it was supposed to end. i'd rather suffer for 2 hours now than 2 weeks later.
