What is a Moving Crate?

I have heard or maybe I thought I heard about a Moving crate where you can put all your stuff into it and move it to a new hows loacation.

Is there such a thing or was someone pulling my leg? I looked on the Homes and Castles forum, but could not find anything.

A moving crate is a temporary container created when customizing a house. Items that are affected by changes you make to your walls and floor during customization may be moved into it.

and (as far as i remember) it goes *poof* after a week so you have to hurry and get your stuff out of it after customizing your house. it's not something you can put all your stuff into and move to a new house (that would be handy though). you can't create your own moving crate, it's created automatically, as petra said, when there are items interupted by your new customized design.

Thanks Guys, I guess I will have to Use Packys like every one else. Man that would be nice, Kind of like the Purse Herminie (sp) carries in Hary Potter, where you can put what ever you want in it and it never gets heavy and is limitless.

this is a place where all your stuff goes when you enter the deco mode to customise your house. it is available by clicking on your house sign after your are done customising your house. it is not used to pack all your bleonging to move to a new location.

As they all said, but it does not have a time limit, it will stay there forever. go to your house sign and look under storage you will see how many items are in your moving crate if any and then go to customize and you can relocate it.

When you relocate it goes to your feet. After a little while of not doing anything with it will go back into hiding. you can relocate it again to get it back out. And also, say you are taking something out of it and you need it to be on a diff floor, go to that floor and relocate it again.

Once you pick something up in a moving crate you can not put it back down in the moving crate.

Another thing, if you have a vendor on your house and the vendor runs out of money, it will disappear and everything will go into the moving crate.

(if you did want to force everything into the moving crate, you would need to put a wall on every tile and set it as current design, then go back into and clear all the walls, do your design and everything would be in your moving crate)

also that stuff stays with the house.. i had one transfered to me and it had a ton of stuff in there..
as well as about 5 vendors and a few checks.. one was over 100k

- Moving has recently been made a lot easier with the 1 year vet reward Commodity Deed Box.

Just wanted to mention that in-case ya' didn't think about it already; it can save several trips if you have some of these items in your home.

Hey, um, are you certain about this? I tend to use my moving crate as a container for everything I own (I have a small house and no room to put containers) and I've never had it disappear before.

Hrm... i always thought the moving crate went *poof* after a week. but i can't find anything that says that. i must be thinking of the vendor spots you rent from other players, that get moved to the moving crate when their contract expires and you have a week to claim them before they can be claimed by the landlord/home owner. and the transfer crate (when you xshard) also disappears after a week. good to know that house moving crates don't seem to have an expire date!
