Thought we were suppose to get some news about pub 57 and EM Programs this week

Its almost friday and still no news about Publish 57 and the EM program. Are they waiting to release it for FoF or is this one of those things where they say this week and ends up being next week? Also a contest was mentioned as well.

Joanne said she's have info this week, so if everything goes well all that will be on the FOF tomorrow.

Probably will be a big patch. I was just hoping we'd hear something about pub 57 and the EM program before FoF, but I shouldnt be suprised the only news we get lately is the FoF. I hope its next week that it goes to Test and then if no bugs or problems it hits other shards before christmas

they've been almost completely silent for the past 3 weeks aside from one FoF and a comment about boards on Test Center.

the biggest problem we are facing is the lag. all we got on that was a brief statement that they were "looking into it" several hours before the ping and packet loss subsided. and that was before thanksgiving. we are still faced with intermittent but severe choppiness and have heard nothing about it for weeks.

I would venture a guess that they are still waiting for some of the signed contracts/NDA's from people.

Given the amount of work they have put into this and the excitement generated by this, I doubt they would hold the announcement any longer than they have too.

True... or they are planning to make some EPIC event with all the EM's that is cross shard event, were part occurs here and the next there, and everyone gets transfered if they want it to contiune the event!!! MUHAHAHAH!!!

Aye the last that was posted on the EM program was they were waiting to hear from a few people that have yet got back with them about being accepted and something about they still needed the paperwork done..there was also something about clearing some red tape which probably refers to them clearing it with upper managment/legal department to release the names to everyone.

They are not allowed to disclose the REAL names of people who work for their company, i don't think... but they should be allowed to say EM APPLESAUSE will be working on LA and EM ... ect... hrmmm :O

I don't know about THAT epic, but since the EM's will be involved in the fiction leading up to the expansion, there would probably be some interesting stuff going on...
Maybe some sadistic EM will spawn like 3 crimson dragons at once, or a PARAGON crimson dragon.
That would sure top those times they spawned paragon harrowers in the past, god were those crazy as hell!

I think it's funny you actually thought they would say something sooner than Friday.

And I'm fairly certain that the FoF will be every bit as uninformative as it has been for the last few weeks.


Also I don't know about anyone else but all those things that I was told were supposed to stack with the last publish...... I'm not seeing it.... Other than the apples and grapes, My stone doesn't stack the chocolate ingredients don't stack..... no someone had said the new spawning ones do...... They don't.... I got two or three of some at a champ spawn in Illshnar and not a ONE of them stacks....

I lost track of how many times I asked about chocolate ingredients not stacking. Actually, I asked for confirmation of them being in the pub prior to it hitting TC. Not that chocolate is a big deal, but it's just more of the same bad customer service all the way around.

I'm happy we have a FoF and dev's on the board. We get much more information than we used to years ago. Even if information only came on Friday's I'd still be happy.

FoF is great! Every Friday is like Christmas. You know the box will be there and you can't wait to open it and see what's inside!

I dont know how you all feel about EMs but to me it is a very very bad idea. They ALWAYS think of players as toys and misuse their powers however limited they may be. It is ridicules to think that any implementation of any EM system wont be abused!

I HATE EMs!

Like the dev implemented invasions don't already do that with crimson dragons and such that pretty much one shot players? No? I don't think it's at all similar.

Im talking about player traking, assassination and, fraud. Not to mention spawning items/pets for freinds or fellow ems on eachothers shard. Also removing stm and losing targets ect ect

It'll simply be another cliquefest. The same EMs will be re-elected, and the select people that always got sashes and unique items will now be the new EMs.

Since dev is communicating less these days, the list of things for FoF certainly not only grows but becomes more important if it's going to be the only or primary means of dialogue. For this one, I agree that P57, EMs, and would add 11th year item purchases are all major things that we need updates on. Should be interesting to see what we get!

Based on what little we do know, they are dealing with contracts and legal mumbo jumbo. Deadlines tend to slip in such instances.

As far as I am concerned, I did not think that I would ever see EM's back in the game not so long ago. I would have laughed at anyone who had told me in October that we will have EM program back in action by Jan/Feb 2009. So, I am not going to complain about couple of weeks here or there.

Anyways, I doubt that the EMs will be doing anything major till next year with the holidays upon us. But I guess it is a bit of can't resist the hunger once you are sitting on the dining table with empty plates staring back at you. :p

Here's my wild guess: The EMs will make their debut dressed up as platinum dragons.
