this games getting annoying

Having a bad day, been trying to find that taming tailsman for sale, noone seems to have one so after getting annoyed at waiting I decided to just donate stuff and get it myself..

Went to yew, spent 2mil on heartwood boards and yew boards to get my 550000 points needed, got myself 2 pack horses and set of on the long journey back and forth. Just as I went to donate, bam! I need to do the quest, I forgot all about that died a good 5 times trying to get the sacks from the scorpions but after 30mins of just pure newbiness on my part I finnaly finnished my quest to donate! woo?

BUT NOO stupid game has to be lame and after donating just 1300 heartwood boards the donate blue icon that you click to enter the amount you want to donate decided to not show up anymore, so now I can't donate my 50ish k of boards.. None of the other buttons apear either apart from the gold option and thats lame 8.5 mil for that pff.

Someone help

May be a dumb question, but are the boards in your backpack? you can't donate them off a packie.
I think you also have to close out the donation gump between each donation.

That is a kind of annoying feature of the donations. Usually if I am donating something like boards in batches of 300, I start with 301 boards, so one board remains in my pack at all times so the blue button for donations stays there. Saves a step that way at least...

UOA macro... i do it all the time, saves alot of time, when you are handing in 600 lutes/drums :\ should work with boards

Hrmm never seen that one before though.... just add/remove X boards from your bag.... that should do it :\ although i could be wrong :|

watch out for those uoa macros, the mage takes full spell books

i donated him all my spell books in my pack only to find out i cant recall home

I dont quite get what you mean by that UOA macro, not sure how you set it up

basically when your donating stuff like books you can record, then click the guy, then the jewel, then select the book.. then delete the last line of the macro.
push the macro over and over till they are all gone..

yes, it's stupid that boards weigh more than ingots

and yes, you have to close the donate gump and/or reclick the npc EVERY time you put more boards in your pack to attempt a donation.

so, load 400 boards into your pack, click the donate, donate the boards, close the gump. repeat the process until you go completely insane.

Put 401 boards in your pack and only donate 400. Then the jewel stays. You can then shovel another 400 boards in your pack. As long as you never donate 401, there will be no need to close the gump each time.

If I read "donations" in an UO context, I already have a bad day.
This stupid unergonomic scripter centric clicking - whoever developed that should have to accquire all the donation items (without donating checks) himself ingame in his free time. After he has finished and not any sign of RSI, we can talk more about ergonomy in a computer game.

Not true. Just click over to the rewards move your boards then go back to the donation screen. It resets the jewel there for donations again.
