Why on earch are these two deeds equal points?

20 level 1 scrolls = 50 points. You get the deed, walk over to a mage, buy the scrolls: DONE.

20 recalls = 50 points
20 gate travel = 50 points.
Sure, this is the same as the fact that 20 daggers = 20 plate chests makes sense.

20 runebooks = ... 50 points???
A rubebook is in itself a defacto LBOD because it requires 1 recall and 1 gate as ingredients. Ok recalls can be NPC bought, but Gate Travel can't.

Because in 2000-2001 when the BOD system was coded (originally just for smith BODs), they made ALL base material small BODs equal for the same count and quality.

The "Value-added for Difficulty" was from the difficulty in filling the BODs (were there even Powerscrolls for skills at that time? And were you even able to lock skills by that point? I came in with AoS). This is why Chain LBODs are worth more than Ringmail, and Fencing LBODs worth more than Swords, Axes or Macing, even though the smaller BODs use less resources.

They'd have to recode from scratch, or figure out how to make special exceptions for items not made with the base raw materials of the skills to add more points to some smalls.

Maybe they could just remove Runebooks from the inscr list? There's no way that recode from scratch is needed.
