Even 2d, could be more dynamic, and it would add much more to the game. It didn't look dynamic enough... Make it look.. Like this..

Nice shadows! Now add realistic lighting effects (day, night, dawn etc.) and we will have a great improvement

I'd rather get a PS3 wrapped plainly than socks wrapped up all nice... Content makes a game more than graphics imo.... UO has LOTS of content and they do a good job at adding more.

(Santa always wrapped the clothing up extra special... I hated that!)

Not taking about graphics, well, kinda, 2d graphics are fine as it is.. The world though is not dynamic, is the problem that most players have, that's all they need to do, is make 2d client more dynamic, try to make it seem more like a living world..
