Updates From the Royal Zoo

I am very happy to bring you the latest news and announcements from the Patrons of the Royal Zoo. If you are unfamiliar with the zoo and how it works I suggest you look here. If you would like help with your own animal taming needs or wish to help us nuture and promot our zoo, please join us for our weekly gatherings Sunday mornings at 10 am eastern time at the eastern entrance to the zoo.

First we would like to say we are glad to see so many new as well as familiar faces helping to preserve our zoo. Many people were previously unaware that we even had a zoo! Recently many supporters of the zoo not seen in a long time have re-emerged to see the silver steed and help make it comfortable.

At our gathering this morning we have decided to undertake an ambitious plan of having regular weekly events each month to support and promote the zoo. We have commited to four events that will occur on a regular rotating basis each week. Since the Gold Harvest this past week was such a success we have decided that our events will continue to be Saturday evenings at 8:30 pm eastern time. We hope this will allow other groups to schedule their events without conflicts.

On Saturday January 12th at 8:30 pm we will have a Animal Round-Up to allow citizens to donate pets to the zoo and help tamers build their skills. In addition to the Lizard Wrangling that has been succseful in the past, we will also have people ready to help newer tamers tame 'lesser' animals such as wolves, polar bears and ki-rin and unicorns. Tamers, mages and bards are encouraged to attend as well as all those wishing to cheer the participants on.

On Saturday January 19th at 8:30 pm we will have another harvest for gold at a dungeon to be determined. Adventurers of all types will band together to get as much gold as possible to donate to the zoo. Healers will be on hand to deal with any unfortunate accidents and mages will provide gates to and from the zoo to allow for easy and frequent donations to the zoo cofers.

On Saturday January 26th at 8:30 pm we will endeavor to tame some of the more aggresive creatures of the realm. Partially as an educational exercise, partially as a test of tamers' mettle and also to give collectors of these animals a chance to browse available livestock. We will go about taming creatures such as nightmares, rune beetles, cu-sidhe and dragons for any who haven't had enough of our lizard wrangling events.

On Saturday February 2nd at 8:30 pm the will host another pet fight tournament. Further details will be anounced soon to allow plenty of time to train and bond with any 'unusual pets' that may be featured in contests. As time goes on we will try to have increasingly interesting matches and perhaps even have tamers in the ring with their pets.

It is our plan to continue with these events on this rotation into the foreseable future. Feel free to post any suggestions here or come to our weekly gatherings Sunday mornings.

Happy Trails to all-

Wow. Good post. Very nice thread. I still have a screenshot of the very first time Catskills managed to rack up enough points to earn us our first crane. That was when the point system was still messed up (some of you tamer vets may remember that).

Nice link Jerimiah.
