In order to find out whether the new maps are really random at 100% or whether a new, limited and finite set of spawn locations have been added to the previous ones, perhaps a new Cartography mapping project could be of help ?
Like a place were players can integrate a database with their findings and upload their Map and the in-game coordinates of where the chest was digged up.
Eventually, players might be able to find out whether the new locations are limited (and therefore a new rune library can be made for them) or they are really random and spawnable anywhere in the world.
If the number of players mapping the new locations is large enough, probably it would not be long before it can be found whether the new locations are a limited number or too large a pool of available locations to map them all out.
Perhaps players could integrate each other's New Maps locations to build up a UOCartographer file with all of the new Maps locations ?
Just a thought.........
