Tram Yew Race track gone and filled with hedges? Why?

That track was fun to race around, and it was an actual track. Now it is grass with hedges everywhere. Why was this done? Can it be put back to the original LS racetrack? It is by the Yew Abbey.

Clearly it was altered by the EM for some event and failed to be reverted. *grumbles*
