(RP) The Viper Clan Orcs set the City of Vesper Ablaze

Three orcs of the Viper Clan gathered in secret in the town of Vesper with mysterious cargo. They began unloading it and their leader began assembling several contraptions designed to blow up They began by lighting the wick at the docks..
Dan’tub: Latz reddi!? *Raises his torch* (English/Common:You ready?)
Krugrak: Yub (English/Common:Yeah)
Kodish: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Dan’tub: Weez maak bubhosh boomaz. Da Hoomeez nub leeb izland. Da hoomeez nub get nom nomz. *lowers the torch to the wick, he chases the sparkle to the explosive charges* (English/Common:We made a great bomb. The Humans will not leave the islands. The Humans will not be able to get food.)





As it counted down the orc closest plugged his ears with his fingers and ducked.





The Orcs’ eyes filled with wonderment as they set off their first charge littering the harbor with debris.


The left for the north bridge before the flames finished settling at the docks. Again the orcs cheered in delight as the bridge exploded and burned.
Dan’tub: Okiez!! nuw wi blo da north bridgez!! (English/Common:Okay!! Now we blow the North Bridge)
Krugrak: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Kodish: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Dan’tubiz iz et urkz!!! Dis iz da tyme fur da urkz!!! *lowers his torch to the wick* (English/Common:This is it orcs!!! This is the time for the orcs!!!)




The Orcs then went around to the North East Bridge.and began setting their charges
Dan’tub: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Krugrak: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Kodish: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Dan’tub: Da norf ov da cityy will bi cut uff from da hoomeez. Dey nub getz nom nomz. (English/Common:the North of the city will be cut off from the humans. They will not be able to get food)






Dan’tub: *lights the wick*
The orcs watch gleefully as they feel the flames of the initial blast singe their eyebrows.

As the orc watch the bridge burn and crumble into the canal below Lady Khaleesi showed up.
Dan’tub: Run liik latz stolez it!!! (English/Common: Run like you stole it!!!!)
Krugrak: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
Kodish: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)
The three began running south to the next two bridges. Dan’tub and Krugrak lost Kodish in the forest.




Dan’tub made it to the West Bridge in time to light the wick.
Dan’tub: HOOWAH!!! Keep runnin’ tu da next bridgez and booma dat bridge tu!!. (English/Common: Keep running to the next bridge and blow up that bridge too)
Krugrak: HOOWAH!!! (English/Common:Hooray)



Dan’tub danced with delight as the charred bridge fell into the canal below.



Krugrak made it to the south bridge and began lighting the wick.




Krugrak too danced in reverie as the bridge collapsed under the flames.




Soon after Dan’tub and Krugrak met up between the now charred rubble of the two bridges.
Dan’tub: Da hoomeez be luukin fur uz urks. (English/Common:The humans will bbe looking for us orcs)
Krugrak: Yub. (English/Common: yeah)
Dan’tub: uz urks bedda runz inta da furrest an’ hydeez. (English/Common: us orcs had better run into the forest and hide)
Krugrak: HOOWAH! (English/Common: Hooray!!)
Dan’tub: HOOWAH!! (English/Common: Hooray!!)




On an OOC note I think it is appropriate to assume that the bridges and docks leading into the city are not fully broken and can be crossed very carefully. Maybe a railing with a slight ledge still remains. or a narrow plank still holds strong. Either way the bridges need to be repaired and in the mean time it will be close to impossible to get any large amount of supplies into or out of the city across the bridges or through the docks though reasonably fit individuals can come and go with some care.
At tonights Tavern night I will offer my services. This may be that the people of Vesper are in fear and need weapons to hunt orcs more effectively. Or armor to protect themselves from orcs. To ship goods from an alternate port such as my Red Fang Pointe. Or help rebuilding the bridges. Either way my services will not come free.

After a night of town planning, Khaleesi walked to from her office to the bank.

As she stepped up onto the bridge, she gasped, that bridge was heavily damaged.

Looking around, she spotted a figure edging its way to the forest.

How would she get to the bank?

The moonlight shown against the water lighting up a pathway against the railing.





Quacklebush and Yosef appeared as she cautiously tiptoed across the

charred remains of the bridge. There was just enough stability to allow

her to cross, Quacklebush extended a hand to steady her sensing her discomfort.





The governor warily peered over the railing, the water was calm as the stench

of burnt oak touched her nostrils. Taking one last step over to “solid ground”,

she found herself in the strong arms of Quacklebush. Quickly finding some repose,

she asked them as she motioned towards the bridge, “What happened here?

Did you see anything? We need to contact Alward and Lochmor check the other bridges

and alert the citizens of this danger. “




Taking a breath to steady her nerves, she looked at Yosef soberly, “I believe we are in

need of Minoc’s resources and expertise. Are your miners up for the challenge?”

Quacklebush quickly interposed, “Khali, This is not the work of a civilized force.

I will alert the Vanguard, we will check the surrounding areas for the culprits.

With a nod to Quacklebush, she looked to Yosef a response to her request.

Good Morning Governor Khaleesi,

The streets of minoc are filled with my skilled craftsman, whom could assist in the repair of vesper build. I will dispatch our finest surveyors to determine what is needed to be done on the bridge. Being that today is the last the last day of voting. I will be busy throughout the day; thereby the surveyors will be vesper within the coming days.

Since the attacks on the bridges leading into the city of Vesper the orcs had been content running a guerrilla campaign in the forests just outside Vesper and Minoc against small caravans. But since the caravans never made it to Vesper no one successfully came looking. The orcs grew impatient. They were not getting the tribute they expected. Their leader Dan’tub decided to stalk one such caravan until it got to the border of Vesper. This would leave little the imagination to the people of Vesper and the orcs would get the tribute they deserved!



In total twenty innocent lives were lost and their cargo stolen or destroyed.




The Orcs reveled in delight. They disemboweled the corpses and danced with their intestines. they ate the still warm hearts.



The trail of bloodshed soaked into the snow and soil as they killed almost anything that moved.



They nimbly crossed what was left of the North West bridge when they ran into some Zoogi Fungus. Whilst distracted by the intoxicating mushrooms Quacklebush and some other men startled the orcs in what they perceived to be an ambush.


I apologize for the lack of screenshots from here on. By this point I was more concentrating on staying alive and not getting captured since I had live witnesses. Thanks to those that were able to chase us and do some fighting, even if it was just emote fighting to start with.

They took off across the newly reconstructed North Bridge feeing down the path to Minoc. Luckily Dan’tub had thought ahead and had his brute ambush Quacklebush and his men. Quacklebush turned his skin to stone and turned a nearby rock into a juggernaut. The orcs continued to flee until they got to the mines just outside of Minoc.


There they took a begger hostage unless Quackleebush stopped following them. Quackleebush seemed to retreat. Dan’tub killed the begger anyway and created a gate to Umbra. The Orcs made it through to Umbra but so had Quackleebush just before Dan’tub managed to dispel his gate. Dan’tub cast another gate to Dagger Isle in Felucca. Quackleebush had been tricked into going through but somehow Vonak fell in as well. Dan’tub opened a gate to their camp and ordered Krugrak and the rest of the orcs to retreat for now.


They did as ordered and Dan’tub recalled to Dagger Isle in Felucca to see Quackleebush in stone form standing over the unconscious body of Vonak. Dan’tub attacked the towering figure and led him on a chase across the tundra. Dan’tub used the seemingly abandonded buildings to dodge Quackleebush. Dante would duck under homes only to found once more. He dipped into a pile of snow but the stone behemoth followed after. Dan’tub dove into the icy water only to climb out with Quackleebush still on his tail. Dan’tub finally dodged Quackleebush long enough to summon some imps to keep Quackleebush busy as he double backed to rescue Vonak. Throwing the female orc over his shoulder he ran as fast as he could he buried themselves in a pile of snow long enough for him to rest so he could open a gate back to their camp finally giving Quackleebush the slip.

Khaleesi hurried to Vesper's bank after the King’s counsel meeting to make a deposit into the town’s funds. She inspected the bridge as she crossed over, noting the areas still in need of repair. Making a mental note to speak with the Town’s Maintenance Manager and Minoc’s governor, Yosef, her focus changed. There before the King’s Statue sat two hearts! From a distance, they seem to be artificial. She thought perhaps she might have an admirer leaving a trail of sorts. As she inched closer, there was a repugnant smell emanating the air, leaning forward, her hand pressed against her mouth, a need to retch threatened. Indeed, it was that of a being, that had a breath at one time. Was it animal or human?

Quickly, she stood and smoothed her skirt, looking around at her surroundings to see if the slaughterer was near. She exhaled a deep sigh and rushed around the corner in hopes that someone may have seen something. She jumped as she felt something brush her leg beneath her skirt and looked down, “Oh, Shar’Lee, thank heavens its you! It was her newly adopted pet cat, who always seemed to show up at the most opportune time. She looked through the bank courtyards and saw no one else. She ruffled Shar’s fur and said as calmly as she could muster, “Shar, Let’s go for a stroll.” As they passed the Justicar Citadel, Quacklebush and Shadow Dragoneye rushed to her side. Quacklebush summarized the attack that took place and led them to the bodies just past the Ironside Inn.

Quacklebush and Shadow inspected the scene, taking note of what might be relevant. The Vanguard would be put on alert to continue its quest in apprehending the cohorts. The holiday season had come to brisk end. Carefully, the bodies were put on a cart and wheeled nearby to the Vesper crypt, Khaleesi spoke quietly “ Please take them to the crypt, Alward will want to see the evidence and prepare the Vanguard. They will receive a proper burial. “


The bodies were carefully placed in the crypt, a few words and prayers were spoken for their families. Quacklebush and Shadow agreed that the surrounding towns should be given notice to the danger at hand. The bodies had not been identified but Quacklebush was sure that at least one might be from Minoc. Khaleesi scooped Shar’lee into her arms and rushed back to the office to make haste in locating Yosef. The King must be alerted as well, she muttered something under her breath. Peaceful Relations, Indeed!

Death of these Orc's are not your only option.
Can't traps be placed somewhere to capture them? If we kill them all, How will we know whats behind these attacks? How long will it go on?
Do we know who was slaughtered and why?
As you can see, I have many questions to be answered, before I can give a decree stating all Orc's are to be executed. Of course if someone attacks, by all means use what force is necessary to uphold law & order

The Viper Clan orcs gathered hostages and tied them together in the lower Minoc mine. Vonak helped prepare the chargesfor their next attack. As soon as the hostages were tied down and the blast charges were set the orcs climbed over and out of the mine.


Backing an almost safe distance the orcs threw rocks to detonate the charges.



The intense heat from the fire caused the stone of the mountain to become brittle and began to buckle.


The explosions weren't finished by the time the rocks fell blocking the entrance to the lower mine.



The rubble continued to burn as the orcs could hear the hostages scream from inside.



Some of the hostages manged to break free of their bonds but were unable to make it out of the mine. With the few tools they have and low light it will be hard for them dig their own way out.




More hostages were gathered and brought to the upper mine. Again they were tied down and left to scream. Dan'tub laughed at them as he climbed over the charges he set.



Again the orcs took turns throwing rocks at the barrels ofhighly volatile explosives.





The blast blew shards of stone and ore from the mountain side and caused an avalanche of fire and stone.


Pieces of rock hit the orcs who cheered in delight.



The orcs danced in revelry for their Bloodgod.


Again inside the hostages were just as injured and trapped.

My dear Governor Yosef,

I do wish to express my condolences in the loss of Minoc citizens in the mine attack. As you know a caravan traveling betwixt our two lands was attacked. You have our full support in
The Vesper Vanguard should you feel the need for our aid in the protection of your own.

I know with the latest events your time and resourses are limited. I assure you, our bridges are safe for the time being and we can discuss at a later date the final touches needed in their repair.
