It has been a long time since I have tamed ridgebacks in the Savage Fort near compassion. I know if you attack savages with pets, your paint will explode. I am guilded but I was years ago as well.

I had tamed about 5 and the savages were killing them off for me. I either had them follow me or just let them wander when the savages were close enough.

I killed off a paragon ridgeback and got back on my mare. I then tamed a regular ridgeback and a savage came over to kill it. I did not give it any commands before the savage attacked it yet my paint still exploded. I am not sure why this happened.

Anyone familiar with taming ridgebacks there while using savage kin paint?

I know the paint wears off after a week, but not sure if the paint actually explodes at that point.

Unless a savage further away targeted your mare after you killed the paragon, and the mare went to attack it before you mounted. I'm not sure if that would count as you attacking the savages and blow up your paint. But I can't think of any other reason.

I had just put the paint on 10 minutes before getting there. Maybe the savage had the mare targeted and since I was on the mare, the ridgeback I tamed took the flag or something.
