Sonoma guild is seeking new recruits ...

If you are happy playing UO on this shard, this message is not directed at you. We hope you have a blast playing UO here, and continue to do so. We are not looking to steal players from other shards, but we do want to provide an opportunity for any players that may not be experiencing a UO life where they can login and play with an active guild that does events every night.

We are the People’s Army of Sonoma (PAS). We have been on Sonoma since the first day the shard opened (for 16 straight years now), and we have been the largest guild on Sonoma for almost all of our 16 years there. We are the good guys on Sonoma, and we do events every night.

We have a Ventrilo server for our players, and our public calendar at our website shows the events we are scheduled to do each month. You can also go back about 7 years on that calendar to see what events we did each night to get a feel for the kind of guild that we are.

We are looking for players from other shards that may be interested in moving to Sonoma to join us.

So if anyone of your PAS-people want to try out a different shard, Drachs definately would be the way to go. Most of the shard is organized in an alliance. Percentwise its probably the biggest shardwide alliance among all official uo shards. There is action every weekend for anyone, who wants to take part. There are no requirements for the chars taking part as long as your having fun.

That sounds awesome, Silverbird. I know we loved the Sonoma Alliance when we formed it before tram was born. We had the top 20 guilds in size in Sonoma all in the alliance, 28 guilds in all at the peak, with over 2,000 players. That was back when the shard populations were much larger of course. The Sonoma Alliance was an alliance of good aligned guilds to protect the innocent of Sonoma, and we had a blast. Even our monthly gm meetings ingame for the SA were great.

Sounds like your alliance members are also having a blast.

We actually had a Cross Shard Alliance (CSA) at on time where PAS allied with guilds on 9 other shards. We each hosted events on our shards like roleplaying pirates burying treasure at Buc's Den, and fighting the reds with a ton of newly created characters armed only with purple potions.

It was a lot of fun, but over time, those other guilds faded away (unfortunately that has happened to a lot of awesome guilds).

I hope your alliance here never fades, and I would encourage players on Drachenfels to consider joining guilds in that alliance to take advantage of those events.

I am always about opportunities, which is why we try to provide every type of event, to every possible location, for PAS members. The best events are the ones that stay with people in their memories. We still tell stories about some of the most amazing things we have participated in while playing UO.

The Drachenfels Alliance is about 80 guilds big. But its not a requirement to join any of our events. All our events are posted on several places to make sure we reach out to as many people as possible.

On the day of the event we announce the event several times, starting from 30 minutes before the event starts. Its is announced in both General chat and Alliance chat.We don't want any excuse no one heard about it!

The big Alliance has many advantages when in need of buying things or when help required or when planning events. But again, many of us are Always in general chat as well to help out others who are not part of it.

Great information, Frarc. I encourage folks to check that out if you aren't already participating. When more players show for events, that opens up new opportunities to adventure to places that smaller numbers of players may not be able to experience.
