when looking at splintering weapons , they're only valuable if they work well for pvp
General things that impact value:
- non brittle because splintering weapons will be destroyed unless you can powder them
- weapon specials must be useful for pvp (maul is ok, but not many macer pvpers) bokuto generally the most popular
- hit lower defense is desired
- hit lightning, fireball or harm is desired (hit magic arrow kind of useless)
- leeches are not useful for pvp
- hit area not desirable for pvp
- elemental damage is nice if it is fire or poison
