Hmm...didn't even know that bark fragments yielded wood pulp for blank scrolls. Another gap in my knowledge from my 5+ year break...

I highly doubt many people hand craft scrolls because people burn though scrolls by the hundreds to thousands and it takes ages to chop up 100 bark.

I'm all for changes that cut out the NPCs.
