In the Classic Client, an engraved Small Statue facing south (crafted from the masonry menu) will not display its engraving while inside of a container. Inside any container, it will simply read "statue," but outside of the container, it will display its full engraving. Other statues seem to work okay, displaying both inside and out of containers, and the engraving appears as well in the Enhanced Client both inside and out of containers.
EDIT - On further testing, this afflicts both the Small Statue (south) -- the slender female statue -- and the Small Statue (north) -- the winged angel. The pegasus statue and the slender male statue both display properly. And again, this is only within the CC. The EC displays the engravings fine.
