I have a confession to make.

Frankly, for the past several events like these, I just get the answers on this board and fly through the quest and file away the goodies.

In other words, I've stopped trying to solve the quest on my own terms. I just wanna go through the storyline, experience what it has to offer, and close it out in an evening or two.

Not at all. I do the same thing. Not knowing anything about Ultima history, and being terrible at figuring these quests out, I find it saves me a lot of hassle and angst just to wait until someone else has figured it out already.
