Shock waves ripped thru the Isles of Skara Brae leaving large rifts of destruction in their wake!
Governor Ophelia of Skara Brae declares a state of emergency after surveying the damage done to local shops. Ophelia recommends citizens take caution as the rangers investigate the causes of the recent shock waves. Shop keepers begin to repair and place orders for supplies.
As Skara Brae tries to rebuild from its recent disaster, merchants from Skara Brae begins to report trade wagons coming under attack! Survivors report attacks by brigands, drakes, liches, giant serpents, imps, hellhounds, strange burning gargoyles, wraiths and even Daemons! It is not safe to travel along trade routes! Governor Ophelia orders the rangers of Skara Brae to escort all caravans and report back any findings!
Governor Ophelia of Skara Brae becomes alarmed and concerned about the recent attacks. The rangers of Skara Brae are finding curious objects on the attacking brigands and creatures they have killed. Concerned with the items she is seeing, Governor Ophelia of Skara Brae sends for help in her investigation. Ophelia requests Lady CaT, a legendary mage, to meet her at Skara Brae's city hall.
Governor Ophelia: Thank you for coming Lady CaT.
Lady CaT: My pleasure Governor Ophelia. Your request seemed urgent?
Governor Ophelia: Yes, as you probably already know the city had violent shock waves weeks ago and now trade routes are being attacked. Rangers of Skara Brae have been returning with items found on ambushers during raids.
Lady CaT: *glancing at items collected on the table before her* Yes Governor it may be far worse than you may know!
Governor Ophelia: Why is that?
Lady CaT: These objects your rangers have found are not ordinary objects Governor. Many of them stand out to me. The Folded Stole, Goblet, Boline , Ritual Tome along with Daemonic Amulets and pentagram imagery. I am familiar with this! Someone appears to be controlling Daemons. The Phylactery to trap souls, Dried Incense smelling of sage and dead wood also could help control the Undead. The scourge, pentagram adorned wand and modified gorget, perhaps to control drakes and other creatures. These creatures all seem to share something Governor.
Governor Ophelia: What is that Lady CaT?
Lady CaT: They all also reside in Hythloth dungeon. I fear Governor, your beloved city may be under attack! Is not Skara Brae the great city of Spirituality? And is not the Hythloth the Anti Virtue of Spirituality? I fear the rifts through your great city may not be accidental!
Governor Ophelia: Thank you Lady CaT, I have much to consider.
