The City of Vesper is split due to the inclusion of taxes on all businesses in Vesper. Although a few businessmen are happy to pay the 10% of their overall income for the West Vesper fund, much of the smaller businesses can't afford it and are following what the Swaggers Inn is doing, and making a stand.
There have been rumours that any day now, the traders of Vesper will strike the City in protest, leading riots on the bank itself and will not stop until the taxes or the Chancellor are removed.
People are warned to be careful when entering the City of Vesper, rumours say that things are going to heat up this Friday evening when the soldiers make their rounds to collect the taxes.
