Returning player very confused

I plot a course on my map... but how do i get my ship to follow said course? Dropping the map on the tillerman doesn't work. On another note I can get UOAM to work.. but UOC does not... it says it can't find the map files. I use to be so good at this stuff...lol I guess being gone for 4 years will do that to a person. Any help would be appreciated.
