A GPS navigator for a car?
I am leaning towards garmin or magellan.

price range is a determining factor....the garmin nuvi's---350, 360, 370 and the 700s are all awesome and good value...whether u need bluetooth or other features will determine which model....they are all text-to-speech...they tell u the street to turn on and not just turn left half mile...

Garmin's seem to be the best as well, but are also priced that way. Decide how important it REALLY is for you to have a good gps. If you need the best and are willing to pay, garmin, if not pick up a mio, or any of the other brands.

GPS's are for morons. owning a GPS device make your chances to be in a car wreck raise by more than 1%.
