so i saw something new today. will they ever get where they are going?

This is two years old, this appeared when the new Orc area of the Britain
Sewer dungeon showed.
This just show how little people visit the dungeons these days.

The ork dungeon was added a long time ago back before they had a way to add new elements to the game. If they wanted to add something they had to use existing graphics.

None of us are supposed to actually really find nor see Mo'gluk's secret weaponry. He uses it for slicing, dicing, drilling, it is his secretly hidden bubosh mojo orcmoderator wep.

So when he says...calm down in some thread here, ye can bet he is armed and ready with his magical orc drilling device, it slices, it dices, it drills, it fries, it rearranges us, and all that stuff.

Maybe the orcs build the drill from a cannon, a pitchfork and a bardiche? To me that is a typical orcish machine, I love it!

Two years? Nay. Far longer than that. I found those devices while seeking out 'interesting' mining locations, more years than just two ago. Probably close to six or seven. Assuming that those are the ones deep within the orc caves, anyway.

Well, considering how long it's been down there, and what it's made of, I'd say it's safe to assume that those orcish drillers will die of old age long before they reach wherever it is they're going.

This did get me thinking, though. One type of monster I'd love to have added to UO is the tunneling type - something a la purple worms from DnD, or the sand worms from Dune...

nearest we have to that are the ant lions, they burrow underground when you're fighting them.

the deco items appearred when the rats with coins appearred in Britain. I
farmed there a long while until WyRm kept showing up.
