Having just watched his introduction speech...

It sounded like he's still in campaigning mode instead of expectant plan-to-do-with-all-the-toys mode.

I suppose everything will work out. Considering we'll be out of Iraq in 60 or so days. According to all the pre-election nay-say, the Iraq war is apparently the crux of all America's woes.

I am curious about his future foreign policy cohones. Should Venezuela's dictator decide they need some 'defensive' nukes, how far will Obama and Co. move beyond harsh language to prohibit this event. Granted this scenario is somewhat unlikely, but Chavez see's CIA ghosts under his bed and is losing his base popularity/borderline psychotic.

Also, how far will he commit to not allowing Iran to become nuclear. Empty suit promises and inane rhetoric works well on the American people, but not so much on dictatorial rulers.

Not my quote but pertinent. Just my opinion here but it seems that:
The majority does'nt like to make tough life choices.
The majority does'nt like to accept personal responsibility.
The majority believes govt can fix all that ails them.
The majority, like govt., are in debt up to their eyeballs.

It should'nt take a Texan to point out that these are societal problems that need to be eradicated, it just takes common sense. Longterm survival looks bleak without reversing course and Obama and Co. are'nt the best option for a course reversal IMO... Did'nt we already had an Obama as CiC once? In a former life, was'nt his name Carter?

How far into Obama's term will you go before laying blame on his administration for any bad ideas? Are you a partisan hack or an objective observer?

On the Obama-mania you've managed to get caught up in, I think you've bought into a campaign slogan without really investing any real thought into it. "Obama ain't Bush! Change! Change! Change!"

I have empathy to an extent, how can you not like Obama? He's very personable, reads a prepared speech off of a teleprompter really well, rubs elbows with all the celebs.

I like him too... but that does'nt mean I'd want him to lead the country just now. We're in time that we need to make tough choices, I don't think he has the cohones to do any of that.
