Greetings Fellow Britannians!
Tonight was an exciting night all the way around! So much happened, I hope that I can cram it all into one story without confusing everyone.
EM Sangria arrived with her usual cheer, followed by an amazing surprise visit from Mesanna, amazing for a personal reason. Thanks you guys, truly! I was both humbled and honored.
And then an equally surprising announcement. Everyone give a warm welcome to our new EM, Tempest! She will be replacing EM Fiorella as EM Sangria's partner in crime.. err... event moderating. As of this evening, everyone was still able to head to the Counselor's Hall in Britain and click the yellow statue to receive a greeting sash from EM Tempest. I wouldn't wait too long, I am unsure as to how long it will remain active.
After some friendly banter about what events we would like to see or items we would like to receive, we followed the EM's to the BBQ beach and were met with another surprise. A very lovely Coconut Palm, that will continue to drop a Fireworks staff for the remainder of the weekend! This staff will recharge so if you run out of fireworks, give it a day and you can once again fire at will.
After everyone played a bit with the new toy, we set about decorating our picnic area. Everyone tossed stuff down left and right, moved it and turned it, as EM Sangria ran around locking and unlocking with glee. Deeded items were placed, axed, and placed again. It was most definitely one of the lighter moments we've all spent together. Just joking and planning it all out. It was great fun to watch it unfold and it gave everyone time to chat with our newest EM whose locking powers had yet to develop.
As the last touches were being thrown out, our party was interrupted by Bob, The Royal Herald. He marched to the middle of our camp and declared for all of us to assemble. Being members of the Royal Guard, each of us, we did as we were commanded.
After informing us that Queen Dawn was digging out the chamber that Sherry The Mouse had discovered, we all rushed to Castle Britain and poured into the throne room. There stood Queen Dawn, blinking in surprise, amidst the dust and debris.
If Walden did indeed find the crystal, I'm not entirely certain that it should have been removed from the security of the wall. Especially considering we know so little about it. Couple that with all the new elements in our land. The whispers of Minax and her ties to the recent Ricardo affair. The strange warriors, The Bane Chosen, attacking the Ophidians. New creatures appearing from the sulfur in The Abyss. Though I have faith in our Queen, I worry of what the future holds.
Queen Dawn spoke of having the artifact cleaned, examined, and set up in the throne room. When I went later to check, she had indeed put it up on display, surrounding it with her own special guardsmen. I hope that they alone can keep it safe.
Weary from a day spent digging into the stone wall, she asked if she could join us back at the beach to relax and enjoy the company of her fellow citizens. We all quickly agreed and set to escort her safely to the site. Bob, once again interrupted, declaring our location unsafe. This gave several of us something to chuckle at. We're the Royal Guard. What are we for, if not the protect our Queen?
The remainder of the evening was spent chatting, drinking, even dancing! We spoke of upcoming events, ideas for future events, and just enjoyed the time getting better acquainted with the EM's.
