Today (Thursday, June 16th) at Noon EST EM Adris held a short notice but very fun event as part of Summerfest 2011. The event was an “Impromptu Bar Stool Race” that took place at the fairgrounds. The way the race worked was you had to go from the starting line to the finish line before the other racers. The catch was you had to move one barstool forward of another one you were sitting on. Then move forward to sit on that stool while doing the same action again. You could not move more than one space at a time and you had to remain in your lane. A simple enough concept when explained, but a fun event to watch and take part in.

The turnout for the event was small due the event being a late addition to Summerfest and the hour chosen to hold it, but was very much enjoyed by those who were able to attend. Five racers took part in this event with a few others watching the madness as it took place. The field was made up of Blackhawk [HOT], Bytor [K^S], SinDee [PGoH], The Blue [TNK] and Lilly [G*E].
In third place was The Blue, Second place was Lilly, with SinDee being the winner.
The Summerfest 2011 Storytelling Competition is at 10pm EST this evening. The night’s theme is a humorous situation. So if you have a funny tale that you think may win come take part and share your story. Tonight also has the "“Full Moon Ball” a player organized role playing event at 8 EST in Umbra. So if you can, try and make both events if you enjoy a evening of role playing.
