It was a beautiful evening for the festival. All attending visitors were given green robes, cloaks and garlands to wear for the event and asked to sit on the first floor of the guild hall/temple.
The King and Queen took the podium to address the gathering with a short speech after which they asked for those who wish to be selected for the "May Queen" and "Green Man" to rise and be judged.
Aideen Delaney of the United Blacksmiths of Britannia (UBB) and Walter of The Ancient Order of Elves (ElF) both rose and the Aideen as the "May Queen" received a special yellow outfit to wear and Walter as the "Green Man" a special green one, both received a sealed book to remember the festival and their election as such.
Once this ceremony was completed, all were asked to move to the top Temple Level for the blessing ceremony.
Lady Luna Rossa then entered the arcane circle and recited the blessing ceremony. After the ceremony, each in attendance that wished to receive a blessing from the Grand Elder, Lady Luna Rossa, were asked to enter the circle. Once all had been blessed, King Valthunaer handed out a torch to each in attendance and all were called upon to go through the lands and light the fires for the festival.
The Sacred Earth Challenge Hunt took part afterwards all all that wish to defeat last year's Forest Lord and grant rebirth to the earth by slaying him and thus allowing his blood to fertilize the ground were asked to meet back at the PAGAN Guild Hall and headed then to Spirituality for the hunt.
