Aino rattled the iron bars again in frustration.
“What am I charged with? Answer me!”
And this time, Brice looked over, removing his a helmet. A wide smile played across his face.
“Sedition, betrayal, corruption, consorting with rebel elements and whatever else our great Lord deems you guilty of. All punishable by death, so pick your charge, Lady Nystad.”
Brice rubbed his hands together, “I will enjoy today”, he said, his eyes on the guillotine not far away.
Aino could only glare at her jailor before collpasing to the hay and bone strewn floor of her prison.
“So will I”
