They look more like real sheep now to me...the old graphic it didn't even look like the sheep had any wool on them!

i think new sheep look a little out of place when you put them next to the art for other farm type animals.
i think its the fact that the sheep actually have highlights and deep shadows whereas none of the old art actually have that sort of thing.
Also new sheep are bigger than goats.

2D ... like we have no serious problems with UO ...

We're really going to freak out about sheep graphics? Maybe it's just me but like them or don't like them it doesn't really affect much in our viewing pleasure or game mechanics. Well, unless you live next to a sheep farm and see them every day upon logging in?

The point is that apparently EC graphics are being slipped into the old 3D client. There is a reason some people prefer the classic client. Blurring is one of them and the sheep are blurry compared to the rest of the animals. It just looks out of place.

Agreed, looks like the sheep have been edited in afterwards. Was another picture in another thread where you can see white pixels around their outline so they really look out of place. Classic client is just that we don't want EC/KR graphics coming into Classic client.hahahaha that looks like a bad photoshop.. sadly it isnt

While i aplaud any help we get in reguards to uo from the dev.... and sheep would not be what id call important changes or upgrades. They are clearly EC sheep and to me fuzzy in image.
once shorn of wool they go back to normal cc mode which is a hell of alot better to my eyes.
When i first saw one it looked odd when i saw a pen of them its horrid. They look so out of place its not funny...

okay - can we fling poo at the QA folks who didn't go "huh? whut!!??" before it hit TC? Or are there any of them left? Playerbase does not count - we are labrats.
This reminds me.. when (and why??) did we lose the shadows on animals, characters, etc? two publishes ago? I cant remember exactly.
I really miss the shadows, now everything looks like it is floating

I like em Grimm, and if they are intended solely for the EC and are some indication of what we can expect then I am very pleased. Please see my post in the EC love thread over in the beta forum regarding other wonderful things I know you will bring to a more updated client.

And they are NOT ugly :/But for all the hard core CC users complaining about the ugly sheep this will make them happy.

I think the graphic is fine in and of itself and would probably look great in the EC but when shown in the CC it looks odd and out of place. I think that's what most people mean and not to be mean, know what I mean? *pats Grimm*

PS-Shoat seems so formal, it could be a geep! All wheel drive included in all models.
Got a crazy idea... work on something useful like the way gargoyle flying looks like you're permanently off a tile. Add a shadow or something. ORRR even crazier! Remove useless graphics like tomb stones and brambles that are out in the middle or nowhere uselessly. ORR ORR give us an option to turn off static animations from player's fields to improve game performance!Ugly? Really? Well, I guess ugly is just as much in the eye of the beholder as beauty is!
