Need Help: Stuck on New Player Quest

Some months ago I reported to two different GMs (who said they could do nothing) and to UO Bugs that I had a character stuck with a non-visible new player quest, and could not use a soulstone as a result. By non-visible, I mean you cannot see the quest in the Quest Log, but when I try to use a soulstone, I get the "You cannot use a soulstone while on a new player quest" message. I have tried almost everything to get rid of it. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there any resolution to it? Any help with this is appreciated.

Hmm the only thing I can think of is to try clicking on your player charactor it self (like you do when to insure something) thats the only other way I can think of to resign an older style quest. Other than the one way you stated.
