so i was sitting on sonoma, as im apt to do from time to time.
and watching people die..... again as im apt to do.
and i started thinking of my bard.
and trying to remember the last time i had the old "Poo Bear" out and hunting.
and then i got to thinking what i should do to get him back out and having fun.
and it hit me.
he needs to be more.... tamer-ish
then i got to thinking..... i have a couple of them Vollem Tokens sitting in the castle.
why not!
so i go and claim up 2 of the Vollems and i check them out with my tamer.
they are hella nice!!! all skills in the 90's and they have magic!
then i did what i should have done years ago.
i stoned off my peace and put on 120 med.
so now im rolling with 120 music, disco, provo and 115 magic and ei and now 120 med.
with the 100 lrc suit with 40 lmc and 14 mana regen i am an endless well for dropping heals on Vollems and splattering out ebolts and such.
so, i take out the Vollems.
i was discoing stuff and putting the Vollems on it, and they where WRECKING stuff up..... fast!!!!
i was having a HOOT!
i went and farmed some demons for fame.
no problems there.
went to SA and wondered around killing stuff there, again, no problems and had a hoot.
im sure against big stuff they will go down fast with their limited HP, but for just plinking around they are a HOOOOOT!
i highlly recomend it for any bards who are looking for some fun.
and with the increase in stable slots it makes this a viable option.
plus with the vets that heal you at the stables you dont have to pimp yourselves out looking for a tamer to res them.
and if you travel with other toons, namelly tamers, its even better, cause you can put the Vollems on stuff after the big meat shields go in first.
no one ever accused us bards of being brave!!!
and just so ya all know.
the 2 vollems can drop a lowland cow and a Ruddy cow just as fast as a greater dragon can.
