Massive pvp tournament.

Currently Im just looking for input on what people would like to see, I have a few people who are already helping me with ideas, and a few who are sponsoring. So it is going to happen i just need to flesh out all the rules and classes that we will have.

So far the pot is at 100m + a archdemon statue + character statues of the winners.

Let me know what you are thinking, if you can help, and if you would attend/participate. I'm hoping this will be similar in event status to the rares collectors rares fest. Maybe even something we can hold once or twice a year.

can you please list the rules you are currently thinking about going by for each class?

Also, are you thinking about single duel eliminations, or best out of three...or more? Single duel elimination would be the quickest means if you're planning on holding it all in one sitting. Or is it going to be an icq duel on your own time type tourny?

Much more info is needed if you're looking for some feedback.

Either way you can count me in....well as long as it falls on a good day and not to late at night. working early mornings can suck at times...

Ok heres what we have so far:

Dates: January 8th and 9th 2011 (1/8/11 - 1/9/11)
Time: 6pm start till 9pm EST
Buy-In: 1 million gold

Single Elimination until the Finals
Double Elimination in the Finals
Grand Champion wins 50mil, archdemon statue, and marble statue of themselves.

Classes:

Open Bracket: Any template is allowed (10mil base pot)

• Must start on foot
• No followers
• Once the wall drops, anything goes

This bracket will for all intents and purposes be its own tournament and will not be competing for the Finals, or Grand Championship. It will have its own prize however.

Pure Mage: 120 mage req'd (10mil base pot)

• only mage spells allowed
• no pots
• no apples
• no poison skill
• equip spellbook + lantern (will be provided)

Mage Bracket: Broken down into two classes

Necro Mage: 60 necro req'd (minimum) (10mil base pot)

• no myst spells
• no spellweaving

Myst Mage: 110 myst req'd (minimum) (10mil base pot)

• no necro spells
• no spellweaving

For all mage classes

• No weapon specials (except wrestle)
• No summoning
• No forms
• No protection
• No explosion or conflag potions

Warriors: (10mil base pot)

• No spell casting, except Chiv, Bushido, or Ninjitsu
• No summoning
• No explosion or conflag pots
• No forms

Everyone except for the pure mage class is allowed 3 greater heals, 3 greater cures, and 1 apple. No petals.

an idea for the pure mage is to not allow casting focus items, the poison skill, and put a cap the hpr on suits...like maybe 9.

and make all mage duels require books/lanterns.

Don't get a pissing contest started here. I won't allow it to stand. Simple message, nuff said.


As a player:
I respect the time and effort, not to mention goods, that Fluffy puts into events. The shard should get behind him more, and support this more.
Time constraints and RL have kept me from quite a few of them, but the ones I ahve attended were a good time. I would encourage everyone who can to attend them.
And on the flip side of the coin, I understand what goes into the behind the scenes setup, having been a member of Questmasters under Soar for a time. To have it work, its amazing the setup/planning time involved for even the simplest events.
