just saw news story of magnetic pole moving from canada towards russia. there seems to be a plume of magnetic coming up.
that kinda an old one - i would like to see an updated one.
anyhow the first reason behind the movie "the core" is that our earth's poles reverse themselves every 300,000 yrs or so and in the first draft of the movie that was the whole basis.
the core spinning slows down and reverses direction.
but what if it doesnt do that but constantly moves on this path around the earth and so eventually the north is south.
anyhow looking at certain rocks formations crystalize in a N-S magnetic direction and upon different layers that N-S direction switchs to the opposite way. which they think is the reversing of the poles due to the core stopping and reversing.
now, we have birdpocalypse
